"There's no place like home, there's no place like home."
"Wake up, honey," said an old gentle voice.
Dorothy's eyes opened and there she saw Aunt Em and Uncle Henry standing over smiling.
"Dorothy dear," said her aunt "It's Aunt Em, darling."
Dorothy smiled. "Oh, Auntie Em. Its' you."
"Hello there," called a voice. Professor Marvel appeared by the window. "I heard the little girl got aught in the-" he looked down on her. "Well, she seems alright now!" he laughed.
"Yes," said Uncle Henry. "She got quite a bump on the head and for a minute there we thought she was gonna leave us."
"Oh but I did, Uncle Henry and that's just trouble," said Dorothy sitting up. "And I tried to get back for days and days"
"There, there," said Aunt Em. "Lie quiet now. You just had a bad dream."
Then the htree farmhands appeared by her side.
"Remember me? You're old pal Hunk?"
"And me? Hickory?"
"You couldn't forget my face could you?" said Zeke.
"Byt it wasn't a dream," said Dorothy. "It was a place" pointing each of them except her aunt uncle she said "And you and you and you and you were there."
"Oh, we dream lots of silly things when we-"
"No, Aunt Em!" argued Dorothy. "This was a real tuly live place. Although I remember some of it wasn't very nice. But most of it wad beautiful. And all I kept saying to everybody was 'I wanna go home.' And they sent me home."
Everyone laughed softly.
"Doesn't anyone believe me?"
"Of course we believe you, Dorothy," said Uncle Henry.
Then Toto jumped on her bed.
"Toto! But what about Miss Gulch?
"It turns out that the order she had to take Toto away to be put down was a fake," explained Aunt Em. "The sheriff said to us that s=he will be taking her in, but by the time he got to her house, she had already gone."
"She's grabbed her broom and flew off to evacuation," said Uncle Henry.
"Oh this is wonderful news!" said Dorothy. "Anyway, Toto we're home. Home. And this is my room, and you're all here, and I'm not going to leave ever, ever again…because I love you all and – Oh, Auntie Em…There's no place like home."
I apologise if the dialogue is far too similar for you people. Remember, this is the same scene copied, only with the alteration about Miss Gulch's fate which I'm pretty certain you often wondered yourselves. Please review. xxx
