Short poem I dedicated to Zuko, back when he was the confused puppy- not knowing who he was or what he should do...enjoy, and reviews would be highly appreciated. For those who are reading my other story, "Once Upon a Times Are a Thing of the Past", I'm on a pretty bad writers block, so updates might take a while. For those who haven't read it, check it out! :)
Inner Turmoil
There's a fight, a storm, a struggle within, it won't stop, won't end
Nothing makes sense, everyday brings a new question
A new conflict
Everyone's telling me to make a choice,
But
which one's right?
What do I truly want?
Is it honor?
Is it redemption?
Is it pride?
Is it glory?
Is it all the same?
They seem connected, linked
Do
I go back to the father who banished me, take back my birth right?
Is
that what I'm fighting for?
Or do I join the Avatar, the only hope for peace? Is peace worth becoming a traitor in my country's- my father's, eyes?
What
am I fighting for?
My mother told me to never forget who I am, but
I have yet to figure that out myself
Am I Prince Zuko, heir to the throne, those who bow down before me
Or am I great grandson of Avatar Roku, destined to help restore balance to the world
Is it my father I must redeem myself to, or me?
Nothing makes sense anymore.
