The Balance - What Brought me Here?

Summary: Danny left to be apart of the high coucil of the ghost zone. They control life and death. Danny is no longer called Danny anymore. He goes by Phantom, The Balance, Halfa, or Daniel. But never Danny. When an old foe , the untouchables, come to take revenge on them they take control of the whole ghost zone , forcing all the other ghosts to leave. How will Danny react to Amity Park after being gone for 2 years?

What happened to me to bring me here?

The day I left started just like every day of my existence.

I will only explain the details of what happened.

My friends and I had a fight because I didn't hang out with them often. My parents were upset because of some grade I got on a test and my sister didn't care anymore. I couldn't take the pressure. I felt like a ticking time bomb that was close to finally exploding. That's when he came. Clockwork. He told me that I didn't belong here. That I had so much more potential and that I was needed to help support both the Ghost Zone and the Human world. I didn't understand at first but that all came later.

Now I look around and see where I am.

I am in a lair with mirrors of all sorts.

Round, oval, square, and so much more. Some reflected images and others were blank. The place that they floated was void of mostly anything. It was like the sky because it was pitch black. The only thing lighting up the path were the star like lights flying around. I had grown accustomed to all of this but there was one thing I wasn't used to yet. The mirror-like pond that was in the middle of the room. It glowed with a beauty that I had never seen. Each star-like light held a passage to a room. There was one star that I kept locked up at all times, for the door it opens, is one that do not wish to seek. When Clockwork first brought me here I had been awed by its unnatural beauty. When he told me that it was mine surprised me.

He told me that from that day forth, no longer was I simply Danny Phantom, Amity Park's most famous ghost, but I was now what many ghosts would soon call me, The Balance.

I now wore a black cape that was very similar to the one that Clockwork had and my suit had not changed at all ,surprisingly, however, it is usually hidden under my cape.

I now wear the ring of rage and crown of fire. I use it to keep the balance and the separation between the human zone and the ghost zone. I also have a staff.

The longer I spent in the ghost zone, the more my ghost self merged with my human self until my hair was both black with white streaks and one of my eyes were glowing a toxic green and the other dully glowing a baby blue. My skin wasn't as tan as it had been in my ghost form but it was close.

While I had been thinking I failed to notice that a woman had crept up behind me. It was at the last second that I was able to dodge her. I breathed out a sigh of relief. It was only Fato(Fate). "You dodged me! No fair!" She complained.

"Actually it is. You frightened me." I told her.

Fato was a ghost with long grass green hair and blue eyes the color of the human sky. She wore a black cloak somewhat similar to mine except hers had a green tinge in it and it had an intricate pattern on it. She usually keeps her hood up.

I had grown during the last 2 years. I was now 16 and I don't think I will grow beyond that. Fato is one of the Big four in the high council. There was Tic-toc(Clockwork) who's sub-council were the Observants. There was also Creep Creep who is actually called Grim Reaper and his sub-council were the undying or the ghosts who keep putting themselves back together(skeletons). He controls the death of certain people such as myself. There was Fato whose sub-council were the wolves. She worked alongside Creep Creep. Her name says it all. Then there is me. I work alone. To sum it up Fate creates, I control, Reaper destroys, and Clockwork observes and tweaks when needed.

"You're dead meat!" She said her mood changing entirely.

I was used to this. All of us were mentally damaged. Fato suffered from mood swings and she usually comes at me.

She charges at me and I just put a barrier around her and wait until the mood swing was over before dispersing it. She hung her head low in shame.

"I'm sorry bala-balence." That was my nickname.

"It's ok we're all sick in our own way." I replied.

My own sickness... It was hard to explain. My sickness was somewhat similar to hers but it was... different. You would have to see me go through a breakdown to understand it.

I looked over at the pond. I waved my staff across the pond and rippling the water creating a new picture. It was my family. They were working on a new ghost invention. I sighed and turned away and floated slightly away from the pond.

"You miss them don't you?" I heard Fato ask.

Her voice was full of concern and pity. I didn't need anyone's pity. I was strong enough to deal with this on my own.

"Yes." I replied very quietly.

"Then why don't you go back? They probably miss you too!" She told me somewhat yelling. It was rare to see moments when she chose to be sane.

"You know why." I told her with sadness in my voice and she looked away.

"I do. Don't I?" She said and I nodded.

Afterwards she left and I was left alone to wander in my lair in peace. But it was then disrupted.

My viewing pond went blank confusing me. I hadn't done anything. A new image started to appear. A vortex of some kind. I saw something inside the vortex. It chilled me all the way to be core. I heard an evil laugh resonate from the walls and I knew something was wrong. I knew this voice but I couldn't place it. I went out of my lair to find ghosts from all angles swarming and flying about in a panicked motion.

I needed to find a portal to get all these ghosts out. I could make a portal, but not one so big and one that would last so long. I needed to find a stable portal.

The Fenton's...

They had a portal that would allow all these ghosts to pass through. If they were to stay here then they would all surely be destroyed because of the strong energy in the air. I looked and looked. I couldn't find it but then there it was. I motioned all the ghosts to go inside it, which they did willingly.

I then realized, what about the others? I had gotten the ghosts from my domain out but did they get theirs? I flew to each domain finding each one empty. In each domain there was some type of... shield that was usually kept up but they were all down now. That was why the ghosts had panicked. Because they no longer had their protection from the Untouchables. Vile ghosts who were banished to the farthest parts of the ghost zone for treason.

I took one last look around and flew through the portal to the world that I thought I had left behind.

I looked around the lab. It looked different from when I was here last. It was slightly more messy. I ,by instinct, tried to turn human but failed. I then remembered who I was smiled sadly. I needed to see to it that the humans know what is going on and I also need to find the others.

I phased through the lab and looked around. The ghost were everywhere trying to stake claims over pieces of land. No. This isn't what it is supposed to be like. I made a very loud whistle that only ghosts could hear. They all came to me.

"Look. I know you all just lost your homes but it isn't right that you get to claim the homes of those who live here. We will find out how to fix this once I find the others. Until then please stay hidden. No matter what. I don't care what the reason to be visible is. Stay invisible. Ok?" I told them.

They all nodded reluctantly. They knew that they had no choice but to do what I said.

Now I have to find the others and figure out what to do in this situation. I am at a complete loss. I knew the evil cackling had been one of the Untouchables but I couldn't remember. There is ,however, one thing that I know I must do.

I need to find the others.
