Black Rose Red
"Father" A girl desperately screamed, tears streaming down her face.
"No" She sobbed freely into her open hands, "No."
A dark shadow gave off an evil laugh as the electricity disappeared from the wooden stick, the dark shadow turned to her and she gasp backing away.
"Don't worry; you'll be joining him soon." The man assured pointing the stick in her direction.
Around her the sound of destruction, death and panic surrounded her and felt her heart clench, unable to help them, unable to save her father and unable to defend herself. Her hands flew to the pendent on a chain hung around her neck and squeezed it, as her eyes closed, waiting for death. She gasp when the pendent she held became hotter, she held it with both hands and squeezed her eyes shut.
She opened her eyes slowly when the warmth disappeared and was surprised to see the evil shadow no longer in front of her, looking around she found him lying on the white sand. Quickly swimming she went looking for survivors and found bodies of both parties and blood saturating the once white sand of the ocean floor.
"Princess, thank goodness you're safe." An elderly woman sighed in relief.
"Mikuni." She happily greeted taking her by the hand.
"You thought you could get away that easily, did you." The same voice she encountered earlier spoke. Turning she gasp, Mikuni pushed her behind her with a glare planted on her worn out and wrinkly face. The evil shadow laughed and pointed the wooden stick in their direction.
"Changed your mind so fast." The evil shadow said in amusement, "Doesn't matter, the dark lord does not need traitors."
"No, I want to kill her myself." Mikuni declared. The evil shadow nodded in improvement.
She gasps and backed away as Mikuni turned toward her.
"Why?"
"I am sorry child." Mikuni apologized pointing a wooden stick at her heart.
"I don't understand." Everything went white around her, she heard Mikuni's voice in Atlantician surround her, "I am sorry Ginny, please trust me. Please, I would never hurt you. Good ridden, spoil brat." Tears filled her eyes at her last words.
When the white disappeared she was sitting on the edge of the cliff, the wind teasing her red hair and the sea gulls circling above her. Where was she? Looking down she saw the familiar area below, she remember playing near when she was little. Why was she on human land? What if a human sees her? Panic rose within her, frantically looking around she sighed a relief when she was no one.
"Are you lost?" A young man asked. She looked up to see a kind looking man looking down at her.
"I-I don't know, some evil men came to our city and killed my parents." She answered tears filling up in her brown eyes.
"Can you stand?" He asked. She opened her mouth to tell him that she has fins when the corner of her eyes caught human feet that belonged to her. She tried standing and nearly fell over the edge if it wasn't for the young man's arms around her waist. The man patiently walked with her, his arms still around her waist. When they manage to climb the rough terrain downward she spotted a red hair woman surrounded by six children with similar hair.
"The poor child, what happen to her?" The red haired woman cooed rushing to her and wrapping her scarf around her lithe form.
"I found her up there" He emphasized pointing to the cliff, "Poor thing lost her parents to the deaf eaters."
"Come with us, we'll get you settled and get in contact with your relatives." The red haired woman advised.
