With a long exhausted and bored sigh, Paige leaned across the table and picked up the television's remote control, hitting the 'off' button. Turning to her older brother, she sent him a Michalchuk smirk, expressing what she thought of what they had just watched.
"So," she started, and then looked back at the black screen, pointing the clicker at it. "That was supposed to be entertaining? Dylan, why do you make me watch these lame Disney shows? I mean, High School Musical? They look they're close to their thirties," she complained.
Dylan only laughed at his sister and changed his position on the couch. "I know, but aren't the guys in it hot? Zac Efron, Lucas Grabeel? You can't even argue with me on that one. Even Corbin with all that hair is pretty cute," the older Michalchuk defended his taste of entertainment.
Her blonde hair bounced up and down that was caused by her intense laughter. "The guy with the afro? Please tell me you're kidding me. Next you'll be buying the CD with all the songs and sing them in the shower."
"I already have the CD," he confessed, as his face turned a light red color. "Don't look at me like that, Paige. I know, I know; I'm totally lame, so incredibly lame."
"You got that right," Paige agreed with her older curly haired brother. "You know what's also lame? That Ashley girl's attempt at singing, dancing and acting. Manny Santos could do better in her sleep. Oh, and what's up with naming her after a dog? Are they trying to imply something there?" Adding more criticism, the most popular girl at Degrassi Community School continued, "She's not even a good bitch. I mean, did she even steal Troy away from Gabriella? Nope! What a great school bitch she is,"
Standing up, Dylan smiled at his sister's comments, knowing that they were all true. "Yeah, because out of everyone in the world, Paige Michalchuk knows how to be a true bitch," he replied back, being sarcastic.
"Hey, Dylan!" Paige roared, acting as if the comment had truly hurt her, even though it hadn't. "You take that back right this instant," she demanded, as she stood up next to him. Ten inches separated them in height, since Paige hadn't been wearing heels.
Walking into the kitchen, Dylan opened the refrigerator and grabbed a bottle of his favorite gatorade, Ice Strawberry. "But, think about it, okay? Sharpay is the bitch of East High, and you're the bitch of Degrassi. Sharpay has a brother who acts gay, who is Ryan. You have a gay brother, me. So, like I said, when you think about it, we're Sharpay and Ryan Evans."
"Yeah, okay," Paige responded, and then rolled her eyes at him. "But, when you think about it, what kind of popular students try out for the school musical and then brag about it? Who tries out for musicals? Theater dorks, Dylan! Theater dorks."
Taking a long swig of the tasty liquid, Dylan laughed once again at his sister's remarks about the made for television Disney movie which was completely over-rated. "Whatever you say, Sharpay. Let me know when the next school musical is, 'kay?"
Letting out yet another sigh, except this one was out of sheer playful disgust, Paige took a step closer to her brother. "Evaporate tall person!" She yelled at him, and then spun around, exiting the kitchen.
