Chuck: You shouldn't be here.
Blair: I know. But I had to come.
Blair: You've really been good this whole time. Haven't you?
Chuck: (Gives a small smile) Just trying to take care of Humphrey is all.
Blair: Oh, right.
Blair closes her eyes and quickly shakes her head as she remembers why she came.
Blair: That's why I'm here actually. I got Dan to drunk text me where he was.
Chuck: I'll give you some privacy.
Blair walks to Dan who is face down on the couch and sits on the floor next to him.
Blair: (Softly) Hey Dan.
Dan (Still drunk): (Excitedly) Blair! (Now, more calmly) What uh, what are you doing here? (Grins stupidly)
Blair: (Laughs lightly), I uh, I thought about what you said tonight...and, you're right. You really have been there for me this whole time, and I just wanted to tell you that...I'm sorry.
Dan: No, no, no. It's my fault, I shouldn't have crashed your shower (drunkenly points his finger to Blair)...wedding shower thing.
Saying the painful word "wedding" causes Dan to slowly adjust himself so he lays on his back as he puts his hand over his head like he has a headache.
Blair: No, it's fine. I didn't realize I hadn't been there for you. I think I've just been so distracted with Louis, the baby, and all the wedding planning...
Blair puts her hand on Dan's.
Blair: You're my friend, Humphrey. (Teasingly) I promise, we'll catch up and you can tell me all about whatever tragedy turned you into a drunk mess.
Dan: (Grinning) I'm so happy we're friends, Blair!
Blair laughs lightly.
Blair: For now, Humphrey.
Dan: Who would have thought that I would ever be friends with you and Chuck.
Blair: Oh, you're friends with Chuck now?
Dan: Yeah! We had a really nice talk about you tonight. He said that I...(Pauses)
Blair: You...?
Dan: (Pauses and meaningfully looks at Blair, then looks down) Nothing. (He pauses) Nothing.
Author's Notes: I thought it would be nice to have Blair care after Dan said, "I've been there for you when no one else was." I loved Penn's portrayl of drunk Dan, and just imagined him being super cute and flirty with Blair and kind of drunkenly rambling. I'm new to fan fiction and it's consuming my life! Lol. I hope you enjoy!
