He wailed. He cried. She wouldn't come back.
Too many bones broken. Too many spots torn. She wasn't waking up.
Thunder crashed. It covered the howl.
Fire turned to ash, ice turned to water.
Their hearts had broken. As bad as she was.
The baby giggled. The blond smiled. The raven was blank, her mate held her close.
The doctor held his wife, she sobbed into his shirt.
The bear held his head low.
The chief needed to be called. He won't make it without his bells.

Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
I say the world will end in water.
Fire and Ice would succumb,
And not suffice.
I don't own 'Fire and Ice' Robert Browning did his version of this first! I just mixed it a little.
