"Meg? What are those bruises?" Castiel questioned. The glow of the early morning light now enabled him to see several brightly colored marks trailing down her neck and chest.

"What? You don't remember getting a little feisty last night; could keep your teeth off me." She smirked, rolling over on to her stomach to stare up at him.

"I-I did that?" His eyes shot open, he wasn't the type of the person to leave marks on someone. He always treated Meg like fine china. Even considering the fact that he could easily heal her current body, it still would upset him to ever see bruises or cuts on her. Castiel always felt that precious objects deserved to be handled with the most care; she was very precious. Guilt flooded him, he felt awful that he used his strength to damage her. Demon or not, he had still left visible marks on the girl she was possessing.

He reached his arm down to heal her but was immediately swatted away.

"Hey. Leave 'em. I kinda like 'em." She said puffing her lips out into a grin and pushing her nose up against his. She ran a hand along her neck were the marks had formed like they were art; something made to admired and cherished.

"I feel bad." Cas looked down at her, his brow furrowed with worry.

"Too much humanity in you, Cassie." She shushed him, pushing her cheek up against his with a lazy grin.

"No such thing." He whispered.

They stayed together that for a while, her arm wrapped around his waist and her face buried in the crook of his neck. After a few minutes, she pushed herself up to look down at him.

"Up." She said, scrunching her nose. "If you're really that guilty well I know how you can make it up to me. You're gonna make me a gourmet breakfast, Clarence."

"Am I?" He said with dopey grin.

With one swift motion he lifted himself up the bed and wrapped his arms under her, picking her up. She let out a yelp of shock as he tossed her up into the air, catching her a second later.

"How romantic." She laughed, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"You wanted breakfast." He carried her towards the kitchen still wearing nothing but his boxers and a baggy v-neck t-shirt. "Wouldn't wanna keep you waiting."
