Damian touched his finger to my lips
Damian touched his finger to my lips. I pouted slightly as Damian mouthed "one second my love." Damian slid smoothly from his seat pushing the chair in noiselessly.
I watched Damian walk up to the DJ. He put and hand on the man's back whispering in his ear. I thought I saw Damian slip him money and a small piece of paper but I discarded it as Damian walked back to our table.
Damian stepped behind my seat pulling it out so that I could stand.
I looked at him smirking as he led me wordlessly onto the ball room floor.
"Damian." I groaned quietly. "What are we doing?" I insisted.
"Dancing, Erin, just dancing." Damian flashed an angelic and devious smile as he put his hand on the small of my back.
I caught something like a breath in my throat as I heard the opening melody to the song. I smiled warmly as "Twilight Time" by The Platters rang through the large dark room.
Damian touched his lips to mine as we glided, our feet making no sound.
I kept my eyes locked on Damian's face as we turned and swirled around.
Damian was stunning in his black tux, his skin illuminating against the coal cloth.
The dress Damian had bought me was flowing like blood around me as I turned with the music.
If I were human I would never have been able to do this. But I wasn't.
Damian was much, much, much more beautiful than any human and so much faster and softer than anyone human or non human. I smiled, pleased at how fast I was twirling and swaying. I locked my arms around Damian's neck and kissed him eagerly.
Damian raised his eyebrow at me smirking at the force of my kiss. I almost broke out laughing at how much this pleased me. I loved being able to hold Damian beside me just the way he held me beside him. Though granted he was a lot stronger.
Damian held me tight his hand still on the small of my back. I felt it momentarily gliding up then down again as he traced my spine lightly.
I let my arms drift back to his shoulder and hand.
A new song began to play that's asked for a lot of spinning. I smiled as Damian released me spinning me on the top of his finger. I felt my hair twirl around my face in light tendrils of limp curls. I spun perfectly around, Damian pulling me back to him as we stepped back and forth never missing a beat or falling out of line.
Damian's hands felt oddly warm against my skin and I smiled completely bathed in happiness.
Damian and I were going to get married. I thought of him in a tux saying his perfect cheesy vows that we all knew would have me sobbing.
