Note: This story is a sequel to Natsuki and Shizuru: The Rise of Superheroes. Mai-Hime is an anime that was done by the studio Sunrise.
Priceless Tony had another meeting with Marvin Tall. Tony had hired Marvin, to grab to the press about his donation party. He was hoping that would benefit his reputation. Priceless Tony looked at Marvin and asked, "What did the press think about my charity?"
Marvin had a cheerful look on his face, while saying, "They were highly impressed. They think you're one of the most generous icons of the country."
Priceless Tony calmly sipped his tea, while saying, "What wonderful news. I raised thousands of dollars for Donny Adam's company."
Marvin replied, "That's very admirable of you. So, what's the next part of your plan?"
Priceless Tony sternly said, "The next part of my plan doesn't involve you, so you're free to make your exit."
Marvin replied, "Okay sir. I'm eager for our next meeting. We have a lot of money to make." Marvin danced with excitement, while leaving the office.
Tony's secretary walked and refilled his tea cup. Priceless Tony looked at her and asked, "Has tonight's robbery crew been hired?"
The secretary said, "Yes, fifty goons are set to rob Donny Adam's company."
Priceless Tony replied, "That sounds like more than enough."
The secretary asked, "What about Super Sorceress and Ninja Lady? They've defeated hundreds of your goons, in one night."
Priceless Tony stubbornly replied, "Those fools aren't smart enough to know about my robbery plans."
The secretary responded, "They may be smarter than you assume."
Priceless Tony angrily smashed his coffee cup apart and said, "Go get me a fresh coffee."
The secretary sighed and replied, "Yes sir."
Priceless Tony said, "Super Sorceress and Ninja Lady could never compete with my cleverness. They've been holding up a good fight, but my sneaky business is going to bring them down." Tony did an evil laugh.
Several hours later, Super Sorceress and Ninja Lady were waiting for Tony's henchmen to come to Donny Adam's company building. In order to not attract attention, the two female superheroes were hiding in the shadows. Super Sorceress said, "Tony's henchmen will probably arrive soon."
Ninja Lady replied, "They better, because it's getting cold. However, hiding in the shadows is kind of fun."
Bleakness, the country's most prominent anti-hero, stepped out of the shadows and said, "Hiding in shadows is my thing."
Super Sorceress replied, "Yeah right. It's not like you can trademark shadows."
Bleakness responded, "I'm going to find out, if I can make that happen. If that worked, I could sue anybody that had the guts to hide under a shadow."
Ninja Lady said, "I used to think you were too dark, but now I think you're too corny."
Bleakness stubbornly replied, "I'm the most seriously intense superhero there's ever been. Speaking of superhero business, I've been looking for Priceless Tony's henchmen. Do you know where they're at?"
Super Sorceress feared that Bleakness would eliminate Tony's henchmen, if he found out where they are, so she said, "Their current location is unknown."
Bleakness replied, "I figured that you'd have that type of answer. You two have barely been any help."
Ninja Lady defensively responded, "Super Sorceress and I have been stopping several crimes. What have you been doing?"
Bleakness said, "You've been hogging up the crime fighting, so I've done some reflective brooding."
Super Sorceress had a confused look on her face, while asking, "Reflective brooding?"
Bleakness said, "I sit around and think about my deepest, darkest thoughts. It's a healthy exercise."
Ninja Lady asked, "You think that overdramatic moping is a healthy lifestyle?"
Bleakness answered, "Indeed." He took a dramatic pause, before saying, "I'm going to continue my search. One of these days, I'm going to catch Priceless Tony and destroy him." He snuck into the shadows and started running around rooftops.
Super Sorceress whispered, "That day will never happen. Tony will be caught, but nobody is going to destroy him."
Five minutes later, fifty goons arrived at Priceless Tony's building. Super Sorceress stepped out of the shadows and signaled to Ninja Lady to follow her. The goons went inside and started walking towards the donation boxes. The two superheroes ran into the building. The goons turned around and saw them. Super Sorceress looked at them and said, "You guys need to surrender."
One of the goons replied, "Please scram."
Ninja Lady said, "Excuse me?"
The goon explained, "We don't want you to be here, so you scramming would be great."
A different goon said, "We have a lot of money to take, so don't bother us."
Super Sorceress said, "We have a lot of goons to stop, so you surrendering would be great."
A smug and overly confident goon said, "There's fifty of us and two of you. That means we a ninety eight percent chance of winning."
Super Sorceress replied, "You're an overconfident fool. If you don't surrender, you're going to face super justice."
The smug goon responded, "I've heard about your silly gimmicks. A couple of blasts don't seem that painful."
Super Sorceress said, "Then I'm going to teach you much trouble your abundance of smugness will cost you." She blasted the smug goon across the building. The goon whined and passed out.
Five goons ran up to Super Sorceress, at once. She saw that, so she blasted them to the ground. Ten goons ran up to her, at once. The goons thought there was no way that she could defeat that many guys at once, but she proved them wrong, by blasting each and every single one of them.
Ninja Lady saw that and said, "You go girl." She high-fived Super Sorceress.
One of the goons looked at Ninja Lady and said, "She hasn't blasted of any of us. That probably means she's the weak one. We can beat her up." Ten goons started running towards her.
Ninja Lady said, "It's time to show them my ninja powers." She used her ninja skills to kick two goons at once. She kicked a few more goons, before she started blasting them. Several goons fell down and passed out.
The remaining goons grabbed the donation boxes. Instead of trying to fight Super Sorceress and Ninja Lady, they started running out of the building. The two superheroes saw that, so they started running after them. The goons were trained to be fast runners, but Super Sorceress and Ninja Lady flew around, in order to catch up to the goons.
Super Sorceress and Ninja Lady blasted the goons and flew down. The goons fell down and the superheroes grabbed the donation boxes. One of the goons got out a lighter and lit the donation boxes on fire. Super Sorceress tried to put the fire out, but it was too late. She looked at the goon and asked, "Why did you do that?"
The goon explained, "Priceless Tony informed us, that if we weren't able to get the money to him, he wanted the money burnt. That way, he can still put Donny Adam out of business."
Ninja Lady looked at Super Sorceress and asked, "What's going on?"
Super Sorceress sighed and said, "Priceless Tony thought ahead. He might be smarter and more clever than I am."
Ninja Lady laid her head on Super Sorceress' shoulder and replied, "That couldn't be true, because you're the most amazing person I know." Super Sorceress smiled at her.
A short time later, the police arrived, along with Priceless Tony and Donny Adam. The police arrested Priceless Tony's goons, unaware of who the goons' boss was. Priceless Tony looked at Donny Adam and said, "This is quite the tragedy. The trustworthy, hard working men I hired, to guard your company got beaten up and replaced by these terrible goons."
Super Sorceress said, "One of the goons burnt all of the donation boxes."
Donny Adam nervously replied, "I needed the money, to save my company. I don't have time to look for another charity event. I'm going to have to shut down the company."
Priceless Tony responded, "This is such a tragic event. My heart has so much sorrow for you." Super Sorceress and Ninja Lady rolled their eyes.
Donny Adam looked at Tony and said, "Your attempt at saving my company proves what a respectable, admirable man you are. My company is shut down, so you can use the building for anything you want."
Priceless Tony replied, "I'm honored by your trust. I'm going to do something special with it." The two businessmen shook hands.
Super Sorceress was upset at Priceless Tony's terrible actions. Tony's lies and fake respect to Donny Adam led to him getting rewarded. Super Sorceress knew that was the opposite of proper justice. She walked up to Tony and whispered, "You think your evil business schemes are making your reputation stronger and stronger, but it's going to make your downfall weaker and weaker."
Priceless Tony whispered back, "Despite all of your efforts, I'm the one who's being rewarded. You and your partner's superhero popularity is a passing fad. I have and always will dominate."
Ninja Lady said, "Super Sorceress and I dominated in Japan and we're going to dominate here."
Priceless Tony replied, "I don't have the same anger for you two, that I have for Bleakness. Stay away, before that changes." He pushed the superheroes out of his way and started posing for the next day's newspapers and internet headlines.
The next morning, Natsuki Kuga got up and went to the living room. She turned on the TV and watched for the news report, about last night's building robbery, to come on. Shizuru Fujino yawned, while coming to the living room. Shizuru looked at Natsuki and asked, "Why did you wake up so early? We didn't get to sleep, until a very late hour, because of Tony's stupid robbery scam."
Natsuki replied, "I need to hear what the news report, about that night, is like."
The news reporter said, "Donny Adam, the businessman that was being supported by Priceless Tony, was robbed by some goons. Apparently, the goons beat up the security guards that Tony hired to guard the place. Due to this tragic event, Donny Adam had to shut down his company. Thankfully, Priceless Tony plans on doing big things with the old building."
Priceless Tony appeared on the TV screen and replied, "What happened to Donny Adam's company was an unavoidable misstep. I'm going to make a productive, successful company at Donny Adam's former building. I'm going to honor his former business and build something truly wonderful. After all, making successful and productive business decisions is what this country is the best."
The news reporter responded, "If that's true, you must be one of the most important people in the country."
Priceless Tony said, "For too long, this country has depended on superheroes. Isn't it time for a more dependable, helpful role-model?"
The news reporter pointed to Tony and replied, "America should be looking up to you." Thousands of people applauded.
Natsuki turned off the TV and said, "That greedy, rotten person is being adored. It's a sad event."
Shizuru looked at Natsuki and asked, "Are you going to be okay?"
Natsuki said, "Yes, because I'm not going to let Tony's rising popularity stop me. Being a good person is always more important than being an icon. The country is putting their trust in a false hero. That's why we keep having to be symbols of hope, justice, and optimism. I intend on proving that Tony's a villainous fraud and I want you to join me."
Shizuru jokingly replied, "Not exactly the most lovely of missions." She paused and said, "However, any mission that involves you and justice, is something I could never say no to. Let's keep being superheroes." Natsuki and Shizuru hugged each other. Even if Priceless Tony kept being treated like an icon, Super Sorceress and Ninja Lady won't give up on making the country safer than ever. After all, their two favorite things in the world were each other and making the world a better place.
