"Eternity" He whispered. I could feel his cool breath on my neck as he bent down close to me. The word swam through me, touching everyone part of my soul. I closed my eyes as a tear fell from my cheek. An eternity, an eternity with … him. I wanted it so much. I wanted to stop my heart and live with him forever. But my heart beat when his beat and it stopped when his silenced. I wanted nothing more than him; still I could not take what I wanted. "No." I whispered my throat closing in at my words. "I will not take forever. I will not stop his heart from beating. I will give him to you and I will surrender." I fell to my knees at the last words and I watched him carry my one true love away.
