It was the wedding she had always dreamed of. The church, the dress, the decorations….they were perfect, just like she had planned. Except…

"You ready?"

Sonny jumped at the voice before turning around to meet the sight of her the last person she expected. She smiled sheepishly.

"Yeah, I'm ready. You?"

He gave her his signature smirk. "Please, I'm Chad Dylan Cooper. I was born ready." Sonny gave him half a smile before it faded into a look of sad defeat. Chad paused a moment, trying to figure out why she didn't laugh. "What's wrong?" he asked.

She glanced up at him, startled by the question. His eyes were surprisingly tender. He usually didn't care what was wrong in her life- just that she didn't wreck his. "N-Nothing. Nothing's wrong."

Chad shrugged, and turned to walk away, knowing she was probably going to tell him anyway.

"It's just…"

He smirked, and turned back around.

"This is my dream wedding. I didn't expect to be a bridesmaid at my wedding."

"I know."

Sonny looked up at him, her eyes wide. "What?" Chad leaned in, closer and closer, until he was right next to her ear.

"I'm Chad Dylan Cooper. I know everything." He pulled back as he felt a sharp sting on his arm. He looked up and saw a very angry Sonny with her arm raised. "Ow! What was that for?"

"That's not funny."

Chad was going to protest that, but there was something in her eyes that stopped him. He opted for the truth instead. "Tawni showed me the scrapbook you gave her. I didn't think you would do that just for her- there's too much of you in it."

"What? Tawni showed that to you? I'm going to kill her!" Sonny began to storm off before Chad hooked her around her waist.

"Not before she gets married, you're not. I sunk at least $5000 into this thing- no one's ruining it by killing the bride."

Sonny looked up at him in disbelief, still hooked by her waist. "You actually helped pay for Tawni's wedding? On purpose?"

Chad let go of Sonny. "She's a friend, and she needed help. The feud was years ago, Sonny. We don't hate each other, remember?"

"I didn't think you were that fond of her."

"You gave her your dreams. I figured the least I could do was help her pull it off. Why did you do that, by the way? Weren't you planning it for yourself?"

Sonny sighed, debating whether or not she should actually confide in Chad. Finally, she replied, "Because I'm not sure if I'll ever get the chance to pull it off myself."

"Sonny-," Chad put his hand on her shoulder, but she just shrugged it off and began to pace as she rambled on.

"Grady and Nico just got engaged to their girlfriends, Tawni's getting married today- even Zora has a boyfriend! And what do I have? Nothing."

"Sonny-"

"I told myself that I'd at least have a fiancé by the time I was- well, would have been out of college and-"

"Sonny!"

She stopped, startled by the force in his voice. "What?"

"It's okay if you're not married and have 2.5 kids by the time you wanted to. If it's supposed to happen, it will happen. Think of it this way: you have more time to plan an even bigger dream wedding." A full orchestra began to in the background, signaling the beginning of the march in. "Although I'm not sure if that's possible." Sonny broke out into a smile, and dove toward Chad to hug him with all of her might. Chad grimaced, but let her hang onto him and patted her elbow awkwardly. "Uh….You're welcome?" Sonny let go and smiled up at him.

"That's…actually some really good advice, Chad. Thanks."

"Welcome. Now come on- Tawni is going to kill me if her Maid of Honor doesn't walk in on time."
