"Kate." He said quietly. Kate knew what was going to happen if she didn't leave. She didn't want to risk it.
"Goodnight Castle." She said to him.
"No Kate. Not again." Rick whispered, loud enough for her to hear him. Kate turned back around and saw he had risen from the couch.
"Rick. We can't." She may have been talking to him, but she was fighting an internal battle. She just wanted to kiss him, to be happy. But she knew she shouldn't. He stepped forward and she held up a hand. That was no use. He used it to entwine his fingers with hers.
Kate knew she couldn't fight this, there was no point in fighting the inevitable. "Rick." She whispered. That was the last word either of them spoke as they both stepped towards each other. Rick leant in close to Kate, not quite touching her lips with his. Kate closed the remaining distance between the two and their lips touched. Their lips smooth against the others. Kate couldn't deny their chemistry any more. She couldn't pretend any more. Kate ran her tongue along the bottom of his lip, eliciting a moan and entrance to his mouth. Kate deepened the kiss and it soon turned from soft and sweet, to passionate and frenzied.
Mouth on mouth, hands roaming, Kate and Rick forgot about all the worries that were facing them. They continued on kissing stood in the middle of the room, when Kate broke off for air. She smiled at him, a huge beaming smile. A smile that could light up more than one room. Rick thought. He grinned right back at her. "I guess there was no point in avoiding the inevitable." She said out loud.
"I guess not." He replied, as he run his hand through her hair and his other one gripping her side, and dragged her forwards, to meet his lips again.
After a while of them kissing, hugging, cuddling and watching a movie, forgetting about the world outside of their hotel room, and they went to bed. Kate crawled into bed, laying on her side, whilst Rick slid in behind her. They both fell into a peaceful sleep, curled in each others arms, deciding to worry about the consequences of their actions tomorrow.
A/N: Okay really? Third one shot in like four days. I have a multichapter fic New York New York I should be updating.. I haven't forgotten, it's just the inspiration for the fic left me. So here you have a oneshot of randomness.
I hope it's okay. I don't really know to be honest.. I just started writing earlier when I saw a photoset on tumblr of the night in the hotel room in To Live and Die in LA..
