"The Prologue"
Bakura's Point of View...
The flames filled the doorway, and I could not get out without passing through them. I cursed my predicament.
I had run into the room trying to get away from him, not really thinking about the Millennium Ring and how he could trace me with it... Anyway, as soon as I was in, the door was consumed by fire and I was trapped in a room without food or water.
Sooner or later, my Yami would come, and then I would be in for the trouble of a lifetime. There is no escaping him, so why do I even try? Bad habit, I suppose.
I stopped my involuntary pacing and glanced towards the door again. Perhaps I could run through it without getting burned?
I shivered, and then gasped as a thought struck me. The flames were not giving off any heat!
With new determination, I turned to face the door once more.
Kaehimi: Trying to write something besides angst for a change. I hope it doesn't turn out too bad...
Excuse of the Chapter: Busy trying to convince my boyfriend to go trick-or-treating with me as Bakura. (I'm going to be Change of Heart.) So I was too preoccupied to write! ^_^
