The Two Towers

On the Misty peak of Zirak-zigil,
did Grey Gandalf the Balrog kill.
Then make his way down to the place
where Merry & Pip' the Yrchs did face.

EXiting that for'st where Willows weep
he joined three warriors for Rohan's Keep.

And despite his need for Valinor's sands
Fate kept him from the Undying Lands.

So Goes White Gandalf to Theodin's Hall
carried by Shadowfax, to save them all:
Ranger, Dwarf & Quendi-kin
(who'd sought Meriadoc & Peregrin)

Those two travel with Entish guard,
to Orthanc tower in Isengard.

While threats from the blackened Nazgul loom,
Frodo and Sam must reach Mount Doom.
Though Little Folk fear what shall be found
they Know the one ring must be bound.

But despair not, nor hope forsake,
for Justice comes o'er land and lake.
And finally Isuldur's curse shall break.

But the Battle of Hornburg is yet to be won
as Gondor's true king looks for the sun.
Then Fair-Folk come to join the fight
and honour old promises to make things right.

When the battle seems hopeless, and innocents hide,
look to the East, for the Rohirrim ride
with strenght to their allies & Death to the foe,
In glittering Aglarond, hope starts to grow.
But this story must, to another place go...

Where in dark Cirith Ungol, following their guide
a Baggins & Gamgee will wish they had died...

Yet time still remains in the passing of sands,
Thus the fate of all Arda, rests in their hands.

Author's Note

This was my ABC poem audition for the Bard's Guild at haha, I wrote it a few years ago so I had a good giggle over it when it was unearthed from the old forums. It follows the movie a little closer than the book :)
