"Oh, I know, I know." said Lorelai in mock understanding, "Now Lucas, how many times have I told you to leave Bugs alone. I know he's a pesky little rabbit who chews with his mouth open but stealing just isn't the answer!" she said, wagging her finger at him.
Luke stood stunned for a minute. Then both mentally and physically shaking his head, he walked back to the kitchen.
As Rory walked into the diner, she spotted her mum sitting at the counter. She seemed to be talking to someone but no one was around. The lunch crowd had already lunched and the afternoon crowd was nonexistent, so, walking quietly, Rory went to investigate.
".....and Elma Fudd didn't even stop him. Just tell me this Patsy and Sal, how do you think that long eared, big toothed, funny talking, fluff ball is feeling now?" Lorelai ended her conversation with the salt and pepper shakers.
"Wow, insulting and defending him at the same time. Impressive." Rory praised.
"Well, what can I say? I'm a natural." Lorelai stated, taking a bow.
Just then Luke walked out of the kitchen.
"You still on about that?" he asked
"About what?" Rory asked, curious of her mothers latest madness.
"I was showing your mum this carrot..."
"That he stole from Bugs."
"That I bought from the store" he corrected Lorelai.
"Wow, Bugs Bunny works there? Who would think? And Taylor actually hired him?" she said amazed.
"Taylor did not hire Bugs Bunny!" Luke said, starting to get annoyed.
"So he just started working there? How rude! Yet I find it strangely ambitious." Lorelai pondered over this while Luke wiped down the counter. Meanwhile, Rory had grabbed herself a Blueberry Muffin and was nibbling away contentedly, enjoying the entertainment Luke and her mum were providing for her. They always were very entertaining when they flirted. When Lorelai noticed this she asked Rory for a muffin.
Holding up her muffin she said, "That's all...."
Then, both realised what she had said. Lorelai and Rory cracked up laughing and simultaneously shouted "FOLKS!!"
Luke watched in disbelief. 'Those Gilmores are weird creatures' he thought.
