Disclaimer: I don't own Hunger Games, and I'm not Louis Armstrong
Lying on the ground, I look up at the trees. From this perspective, they look beautiful, untampered by the Capitol's meddling. And the flowers next to me, they are the same color as my jacket is turning. What a beautiful death trap the Capitol created.
Now looking up, the clouds look surreal. Big, fluffy, and soft, lounging in a pool of blue. I look at Katniss's eyes and they remind me of the night, but friendlier.
"You blew up the food?" I whimper hopefully.
"Every last bit of it" she confirmes. I sigh happily.
"You have to win" I tell her. She responds, but I don't catch the words. Already, my mind wanders to happier times. Seeing a rainbow flash by, hugging my parents, whistling to signal the end of work.
"Don't go," I say as I hear a cannon blast.
"Course not. Staying right here" Good. I try to be brave, so that my family at home wont see me in my last moments as a young girl screaming at death. I hope they don't cry too much.
I wish I could see a rainbow for the last time, or hear a mockingjay repeat my song. I guess if have to settle for a song.
"Sing," I ask her. And she does. She sings of a better place, one with daisies and dreams and love. What a wonderful world that would be. I feel myself drift off, and I smile, because I will be in that world soon enough. I can hear my family cryin, but I don't worry. I will see them again. In a wonderful world
AN: Someone told me that you can't post lyrics on fanfiction, so you should listen to the song.
