BARCELONA RACE TRACK SPAIN 7TH MARCH
"Tired?". The eager voice of Tatiana calderon resounded in the ears of Trey Francis on what had to be their 1000th lap around the grand prix circuit.
"Keep those lap times consistent please," Kenny Kirwan's voice came over the radio.
It had been almost three days of testing in spain for the FIA GP2 racing teams and the axles of Trey Francis were calling for him to stop racing and start relaxing. Tatiana Calderon, a 25 year-old rookie who came from columbia, had been signed for BWT Arden in february whilst her teammate Trey Francis had been signed only a week or two before testing. Like his female teammate, he was also a rookie although much younger at the age of 15.
The two racers were speeding along the track, the hot sun burning their roofs.
"Alright, that's it you two, our testing time is over," Kenny stated,"time to hit the pits."
The Arden team saw a very tired red racing car and a pink modified camaro pull into the pits.
All racing teams had been given 3 days to test what they had been developing in the winter for their GP1 hopefuls. The potential to be racing with Lewis Hamilton and former GP2 champion George russell was a dream to anyone who chose this life style.
Trey Francis came from england, sporting red paint and the flaming number 95 paint scheme made infamous by recently retired Lightning Mcqueen.
A mcqueen who had retired at the start of the 2018 piston cup season to train Cruz Ramirez. Since then she had won the piston cup after early season struggles.
Tatiana was determined to be a successful female racer at the top level whilst Trey was determined to fulfil his dream of becoming Lewis Hamilton's teammate and eventually equal his number of championships.
*back to the story*
Tatiana and Trey drove calmly into the paddock to be greeted by the sight of the other racers. Mick schumacher and Callum ilott chatting.
"Trey!" The voice of Emma, the agent for both racers, rang out.
"What is it?" Trey questioned the white hyundai accent. A blue Vaxhuall sat next to her.
"I know you're tired from your final testing session but I wanted to introduce you to Claire Smith, journalist for RSN, and eager to ask some questions?"
Claire butted in, " So how was testing?"
Caught out, Trey gave a quick answer. " Tiring, to say the very least. It was all about putting in the work and now that we have done that out on the track. Now we just look forward to the first race in bahrain."
"I'll leave you to it." Emma left one of her racers stranded with an RSN reporter.
