Title- Bittersweet victory

Hey everyone, this poem was original done for my creative writing class, but I have decided to share it with all of you since I wrote it in Light's pov. Hope you all enjoy it!

This is a revised version. I like this one more, hope you all do to^^.

The sun shone brightly on the day of your funeral

Mocking you and the sullen few who gathered

Dressed in crisp black tuxedos.

I remember laughing

Laughing so hard, I thought I might cry

But the tears didn't come

And even through I was overjoyed that you died

For i was one step closer to omnipotence

You are no longer here

A cold fury encases me

At the thought of your corpse laying six feet under

With maggots eating away at the beautiful brain of yours

You weren't supposed to die,

By a stray bullet on the way to a coffee shop

You were supposed to challenge my idea of justice

Make this game of logic versus righteousness last longer

But you died,

I hate you for that

You weren't supposed to leave me.
