I do not own Hetalia: Axis Powers

Stars and Trees

Long, long ago Chibitalia lived in the Roman Empire.

As a young boy he enjoyed spending time with his Grandpa Rome.

Grandpa Rome told Chibitalia many stories about delivering gifts to the girls and boys who lived all over the world.

Christmas time came and Grandpa Rome was yet again ready to deliver his gifts.

Chibitalia loved his grandfather very much and did not want him to get lost.

Grandpa Rome wanted to reassure the child that he would come back safely and he had nothing to worry about.

Chibitalia looked up at the sky at the twinkling stars above them.

Grandpa Rome smiled and rode far up into the sky in his sleigh with Chibitalia and retrieved a star.

Once the two got back down Grandpa Rome placed the star at the very top of their family Christmas tree.

Grandpa Rome told Chibitalia that if they kept this star at the top of the tree that he could come back home without a doubt.

Chibitalia gave a sigh of relief and bid Grandpa Rome a goodbye knowing that he would come back safely.

This is how the traditions of putting a star at the top of a Christmas tree began.

The shining light shows hope that all loved ones will be home safely to share cherished memories.
