"Say, Wes," said Geordi.

Wesley looked up from his warp-engine schematic. "Yeah?"

"Is today the anniversary of your dad's death?"

Wesley blinked, glanced at the stardate recorder, and made some quick calculations. "No. Why?"

"Well, your mom seemed a little edgy when I met her in Ten-Forward earlier," said Geordi. "I asked what was wrong, and she said it was her 'bad time of the year', so I thought..."

He trailed off; Wesley was smirking knowingly, and seemed to be trying hard not to laugh. "What?"

"My mom was born on Luna, Geordi," said Wesley. "Her year is your month."
