AN: Did Will really mean what he said to Elizabeth at the end of DMC?
ooooo
Summary: Will wishes that there were certain things said that he could take back.
TAKING IT BACK
ooooo
Of all the stupid things to say to her after what she did, that had to be worst.
Did I say 'sorry for your loss, Elizabeth?' No, I wouldn't have meant it.
Did I say 'good men go down with their ships?' No, he probably just ran out of time.
Did I say 'I saw what you did, wench?' No, she seems to be dealing with enough grief.
Did I say 'I guess that means we're done?' No, I wasn't sure I wanted to hear her answer.
Did I say 'I could have used that ship?' No, Tia Dalma has already guessed that.
I said the one thing that gave her hope, 'If there's any way we could get him back...'
Stupid. And there was no chance of taking it back once it was heard by them all.
ooooo
AN: Maybe not Will's exact words - have to view DMC again to be sure - but close enough.
