Author's Note: Hello All! This is my first multi -chapter FanFic, so please try and be kind in the comments section. Also, I have created this entire case from conception, and therefore the only things that do not belong to me are the *actual* CM characters and the Shakespeare quotes used (including the title). Enjoy!
Ray staggered out of his car, not bothering to lock it. He fumbled with his keys as he climbed the steps leading to the darkened townhouse, too drunk to notice a window ajar next to the door. After a few minutes, he finally managed to enter his home, and stopped short. Music. It berated him, enveloping the man in its blaring vibrato. Who the fuck put on fucking Beethoven at fucking 3 am? Ray thought, but then remembered. Tori. She's probably just pissed about last night. Thought she'd pull one over on me…dumb bitch…
Ray stumbled into the tiny kitchen, the symphony melding with his inebriated daze. He picked up the phone, dialing the number for his girlfriend's apartment. No answer. The whore's probably out partying. The answering machine clicked on, so he decided to feign guilt in the possibility of getting her sweet ass back in his bed. "Tori? It's Ray. Baby, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to—"
A thud coming from the sitting room interrupted his apology, and as abruptly as it began, the music ceased. Ray dropped the phone, knocking the receiver off the counter. His head was reeling, the alcohol only worsening his confusion. What the fuck is going on? As he lurched his way towards the sofa, he began to see a dark figure, darting about, following him, taunting him. Suddenly, a heavy object struck him from behind, and he collapsed onto the cushions. The sharp pain began to subside, and Ray peered about himself in terror. The shadowy silhouette towered over him. He tried to scream, but strong hands silenced him. A glint of a knife flashed before his watering eyes. And then, an ominous voice snarled in his ear…
"If music be the food of love, play on."
