"Hey June," a familiar voice came from behind May. Said girl payed no attention to the voice.
She was quite focused on what she was doing. May was sitting in front of a desk, mouth slightly ajar, and tongue sticking out a bit. There was a look of frustration on her face.
"I said, hey June," the voice repeated, not happy that he was being ignored. He let out an irritated puff of air, flicking his chartreuse hair in one swift motion. He waited for a while until he got impatient.
"May!" Drew yelled into her ear.
"Ah!" May jumped in surprise, a deck of cards flying everywhere. She turned around angrily to see a certain grasshead.
"Drew, what the heck?" May exclaimed. Drew only smirked in response.
"Look what you made me do!" May yelled, gesturing to the cards splattered everywhere.
"Not my fault you were ignoring me," Drew replied arrogantly.
"You are so… Ugh!" May said, picking up all the cards from the floor. When she got all the cards, she sat back down returning to her original position.
"What were you even trying to do?" Drew asked.
"Brendan showed me a cool way to shuffle cards," May explained. Drew raised a brow.
"Shuffle cards?" It was quite random really.
"Yeah, you go like this, then this, then – ah!" May said, the cards flying away once more.
May groaned, "Ugh! It doesn't work. There's got to be a trick to it." She was annoyed she couldn't shuffle the cards properly. She collected all the cards once more and was about to try again.
"Let me," Drew said, taking the cards away. May pouted. Drew thought she looked absolutely adorable.
He swiftly split the deck into two and displayed a perfect ruffle shuffle easily. May was gaping.
"H-how did you do that?" May questioned, but was also annoyed Drew could do something else she couldn't. Drew smirked once again.
"See you around April," Drew simply said, walking away. May frowned. She was now more frustrated than to begin with.
