Summary: a story for XigXal day (aka Feb. 3rd) Xaldin's got a short temper and Xigbar just doesnt care.

Xaldin was, to say the least, not happy. And by not happy of course I mean not receiving happy chemicals from his brain. Assuming that he had emotions would be silly if you knew, as you should, that he had no heart. So yes, Xaldin was not happy in any sense of the word. His lip had developed a tick as the clicking sound above him continued as it had for the last 10 minutes. Xaldin continued on his way, his patience growing shorter with each click that echoed in the wide, empty halls. As the tick in his lip continued, he gritted his teeth as his temper became shorter and shorter. Almost there…any second now…

"XIGBAR!"

Ah. There it is. With a frown, the mass of annoyance and sideburns glared up to look at the grinning sniper.

"Yes?"

"Get the hell off the ceiling right now."

Xigbar, the cause of the echoing footsteps and the overall frustration of the situation, wagged his finger at his fellow nobody with three clicks of his tongue to the roof of his mouth.

"Xaldin, you shouldn't talk to your superior that way."

"Superior my ass. Get down. Now."

"As if! Your gunna have to make me."

The next thing Xigbar knew, a very strong, very cold gust of wind (though how it was cold Xigbar could only assume was caused by momentum, seeing as the temperature in The World That Never Was was stable) was causing him to grip at the floor, or, to anyone below him, the ceiling, in an attempt not to fly away and crash into a wall. Opening up a portal, Xigbar quickly slipped through it and reappeared behind Xaldin.

"Damnit, what was that for?" Xigbar asked as he tried to fix the mess his hair had become, tugging it free from the tie in order to do so.

"You said make you, so I did."

Xigbar rolled his uncovered eye at the smirk on III's face before responding as he retied his hair.

"What's your problem anyway? I've followed you plenty of times before without you wigging out on me."

"The Ceiling echoes louder than the floor. If you didn't hear how annoying that was maybe you're going deaf to match your impaired vision. Don't do it again." Before Xigbar could open his mouth to respond, Xaldin continued. "Don't tell me to make you. I will." He barked, his finger pointing at the shorter nobody. Xigbar's smirk returned to his lips as he crossed his arms.

"Then do it."

With a growl, Xigbar was pressed up against the wall, face to face with the man he knew all too well. Neither spoke, seeing as it wasn't necessary; both knew what was coming. Lips connected roughly, teeth clicking together in the fury of tongues wrestling for dominance. This almost violent heated act continued until the two broke apart a few minutes later. This was only for a moment, as Xigbar was opening a portal.

"Let's go." Xaldin gruffly ordered, tugging Xigbar closer to the portal. With that same taunting smirk, Xigbar grabbed the collar of Xaldin's coat.

"Make me." He grinned, stepping backwards into the portal, pulling Xaldin along with him.
