What? Me posting oneshots when I should be working on fifteen other things? How completely out of charcter.

Anyway, I don't own Young Avengers. Enjoy.

Awkward Silences

"You did, didn't you?"

Billy's eye twitched, but he didn't look up from his bowl of cereal. "Drop it, Tommy."

"But come on, you totally did. Does tall, green and handsome know?"

Again, the slightest trace of a twitch. "Speed, I said drop it."

"Dude, I've been in your room. You have a poster of him on your wall."

Wiccan stood to clear his dishes, refusing to look at his twin. "I have pictures of a lot of people. Jeez, Tommy, just let it go already."

The silver haired speedster just smirked. "Do all of your posters have dozens of newspaper articles taped up next to them?"

Finally losing his temper, Billy slammed his dishes into the sink and turned to face his teammate, throwing his hands in the air. "Fine! You win! Yes, I had a crush on Spiderman! I was fourteen and the tights made his butt look hot, okay? Why can't you ever just shut up?" He spun around to leave the Avengers kitchen only to come face-to-face with Peter Parker, whose mouth was hanging open in astonishment.

Nothing was said for a very long moment, until Billy broke the silence in a voice that was very deliberately calm. "I am going to my room. Anyone who disturbs me gets a one-way ticket to Antarctica."

That said, he stepped around the still-frozen Peter and left the kitchen. Peter opened and closed his mouth a few times without saying anything before snapping out of it, shaking his head, and sitting down across from Tommy.

"That," he told the teenager, "may just be the most awkward conversation I have ever walked in on."

Tommy shrugged. "That's nothing. Walking in on phone sex? That's awkward."

Peter blinked. "Okay, you win. When did that happen?"

Tommy smirked. "It didn't. But it will if Eli doesn't learn to lock his door while Kate's on vacation."

Peter blanched. "You know what? I think my spider-sense is tingling. I'd better go sace a bus full of kids… or… something," he said, making a hasty retreat. Tommy snickered.

Aww. I can't decide whether I like Tommy or Billy better, but this popped into my head and wouldn't leave me alone. Leave a review if you can, please!
