Another story that comes from the Space-Battle forums. I'm still working on this one but I thought I would share the first chapter. Currently am working on the second chapter as well so you don't have to worry about anything.

Chapter One

Louise could only stare blankly at the creature that was currently laying on her bed. Currently it was early in the morning to the point that the sun hadn't even risen yet. Normally the pinkette would have woke up a bit later, but thanks to the creature in her bed she hadn't been able to stay sleeping. Said creature that was in her bed was her familiar.

Blinking she shook herself out of her stupor. She was in a bit of a state of shock. After all if you summoned something that you and your professor had no idea about, you would be too. It had left both of them confused and Professor Colbert had gone to check for records or anything about the creature. There were no reports of what she had summoned.

Louise knew she should have been happy to have summoned a familiar that nobody else had summoned; yet, she couldn't bring herself to even smile. This familiar was just strange. It was as if it was something out of the story books that her older sister Cattleya used to read to her.

It looked like a child, specifically a young girl. Louise watched as her familiar curled up on herself, twitching at some dream it was having. Black wolf ears twitched on top of her head. It was obvious that her familiar wasn't Human, even though she looked like it. Louise reaches out, her hands combing through the familiar's black hair that had highlights a flame red color running through it. The familiar's tail twitched, as Louise moved her hand down to the side of creatures head. Where there should have been ears, there was none. Neither Human nor Elves.

Looking at the overall visage of her familiar reminded her of a wolf. And that brought Louise back to the important question that had been swirling in her head, even when she was dreaming. What was her familiar? She had already scoured the library looking for any scrape of information, no matter how far-fetched, she could find. The only thing that had come close to describing what she had summoned was obscure mentions of werewolves. Werewolves that were said to have been extinct for quite some time.

Louise was also certain that her familiar wasn't a werewolf. She didn't match the description of what a werewolf looked like and she was extremely docile. Werewolves were known for being aggressive attacking anyone that was in the vicinity of them.

Shaking her head, she brings her thoughts on what to do with her familiar. Louise knew that she should probably contact her mother. Although she didn't want to, she knew that her mother could contact; she scowls thinking about the name; Éléonore in hopes that she might have better resources at Oriz Academy of Magic. The thought of having to ask her older sister for help left her stomach churning.

'For now, the one thing I absolutely must get is clothing.' She thinks. When she had summoned her familiar, she had summoned her naked. Although naked might not be the right word. Her familiar had been bathed in flames that allowed her to have some modesty.

At the time, Louise thought she had summoned a dragon of fire. The intensity of the flames had been that strong. That moment of feeling pride disappeared when she had gotten a good look at her familiar. She had thought she had summoned a Human, until she noticed the ears and tail. Then that feeling of pride had returned. She could cast magic and her element was fire magic. Though she should have remembered one of the lessons of the rule of steel. Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

After Louise had hurriedly formed the contract, she had felt the most crushing of disappointments. Her familiar didn't know how to speak. It only made noises one would expect from a young wolf. She was so sure that others would have laughed at her. , but she was surprised when they only stared in stunned silence.

That feeling of surprise faded, becoming righteous and panicked anger when she realized her the flames covering her familiar had dispersed, revealing her full nudity. She had cast a spell off the top of her head, putting all the power she could muster behind it. The explosion she had produced had been powerful enough to knock most of the students unconscious. She had felt worried that she would get expelled, but luckily Colbert had just waved her off back to her room. She did so quickly.

When she had returned back to her room, she had taken the sheets from her bed and made a makeshift sundress.

Louise blinked again, watching as her familiar slowly began waking up. Her familiar yawned, stretching herself out. She had noticed that Louise wasn't in the bed and quickly looked around before finally spotting the pink haired girl. She made a sound that could only be described as a bark, before launching herself off the bed.

"AHH!" Louise shouted as she was knocked off her feet. The familiar had barreled into her and now she found herself with a girl like wolf, or maybe wolf like girl, in her lap. "No, off!" Louise tried to command in a firm tone of voice.

Her familiar listens, but with lowered ears and whining. Big hetrochromatic eyes of ruby red and wolf silver stare at her. Louise felt like she had just kicked a puppy. 'No! You are a Vallière. You can not give into your familiar just because she looks cute and gives you the puppy dog eyes Louise.' The daughter of Karin the Heavy Wind thought. But she couldn't bring herself to look away from those soulful eyes and she felt like she had become hypnotized by them.

Louise reached her hand forward, scratching her familiar behind the ears. Said familiar made a pleased sound, turning her head to lick her owner's hand.

Feeling the wet dog like tongue caused Louise to draw back in shock. She opened her mouth, about ot scold her familiar, only to stop when the girl in question tilted her head innocently. This move made Louise melt. It also confirmed what Louise had been fearing all along.

She would never be able to be strict with her familiar.
