Disclaimer: I do not own, and I say this with picture perfect seriousness, I do NOT own anything associated with the Total Drama series or its characters. Total Drama and its characters are owned by FreshTV and the show's creators, Jennifer Pertsch and Tom McGillis. If all of you must know, this is a reboot from my other story entitled "Blainewood Academy: The Beginning", which unfortunately in my opinion had dull plotlines that had made no sense at all or were pretty much predictable. This story will be much better and different than that. I just need to be careful of how good I need to portray the characters, that's all. So anyway, here you go. Let the reboot begin!
P.S.: Oh, I did forget to tell anyone that unlike this version, this reboot of mine will feature all characters throughout the Total Drama series, especially it's spinoff, Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race.
Chapter 1: Prologue
Two hours.
Two hours was all it took for the long drive straight over to the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which of course, made it very long enough for Justin Morrison to bore himself to sleep after sitting on that padded leather seat of his. Of course, it wasn't surprising since all he had to deal with on the ride was nothing more than old 60's tunes playing on the front end of the radio. Oh, and not to mention the smoke that was being surrounded inside a gray Aston Martin, in which his own mom was driving.
His mother was right around forty-two years of age and looked way more attractive than her teenage son was. Her skin was a little bit tan, her long black hair was a little bit lighter than Justin's, and her clothes were pretty much molded to her perfect skin, which of course provided a black tanktop, a leopard-skinned coat, black jeans and gold high-heels. And to complete her appearance was a pair of designer $700 Moverio BT-200 smart glasses. She wasn't alone though as a woman right around forty-five years of age was sitting right beside her. She had medium dark black hair, dressed in a yellow tanktop with a dark blue tiger-printed coat and black sweatpants complete with slippers of her own. And as Justin would have guessed, she was the same lady who had a cigarette attached to her hand. Oh, so that's where the smoke came from.
The one who had her hands behind the wheel was named Erin and the lady that was sitting beside her was Justin's very own aunt Lady Cici Mimi Didi Leduda (yeah, long name I know). As much as they loved to have their quiet time from each other, Justin decided to break this quiet tension away by speaking out first at the two of them.
"Okay, I don't wanna intrude from all of this silent treatment of sorts, but are we there yet?" He asked Erin, his mother.
"We're just about there, son. Just be patient." She replied back to his son.
Justin then rolled his eyes unpatiently and sighed, "Yeah, but it almost feels like a long time, you know? My butt's getting so numb from sitting in his seat, I can hardly feel it."
"Oh, that's ridiculous," Lady Deduda chuckled as she smoked another puff before replying, "Your fanny is pretty much fine as it is. Once we get out of this car, you can roam around if you want to."
"That's another thing I don't possibly get out of all of this," Justin added with curiosity, "How in the heck do I have to even go to this stupid school in the first place?"
With a sigh, Erin said in an understanding tone, "Because me and your aunt feel like you don't socialize with people enough. You're always in your room looking at your mirror all of time when you should go out and make some more friends on the outside. And me and your aunt feel like that this big academy here in Toronto will help you socialize more with society."
"But I do make friends, mom." Justin bluntly answered. "I can't ever seem to bring them over to my house because of the cigarette smoke that Lady Deduda always brings with her."
"You're welcome!" Lady Deduda nodded in response while smoking another puff.
"Trust me, Blainewood Academy is amazing once you step inside," His mom insisted him with a smile, "I mean, it has everything your school has: A great education, same kinds of classes, sports, and did I mention different kinds of people that you can make friends with? What's even better is that they have a dorm room for you to stay in so that you can get to know your roommate and be friends with them. I bet you didn't know that I used to go here when I was your exact age. I used to be just like you: A loner with a very quiet attitude only to turn into a very successful fashion designer at the end when I stepped out of that academy. Trust me son when I say this: You're gonna have a fun time over there."
Rolling his eyes yet again sarcastically, Justin uttered out under his breath, "I better have something good out of this…"
The Hawaiian-bred teenager remained quiet as he could ever be until the next hour passed. Right now, the only thing he could do until he got there was close his eyes and nap out the next hour or so hearing her mom and aunt bicker about the most important issues like politics and fashion while Heart played on the sound system. All that was missing was a nice case of earmuffs and he was good to go on this long drive to the academy. Oh, and also missing was a pillow and blanket as well.
But only twenty minutes into this nap though…
"We're here!" His mother alarmed him right away, forcing Justin to yelp out of his sleep.
"AHHH, DON'T HURT ME!" He hollered out before rubbing his eyes and uttering in tremendous slumber, "Uhhhh, where in the heck are we?"
"Why don't you see for yourself?" Lady Deduda insisted him, forcing Justin to clear out his luggage and exit out of the car.
Once he did, the blue-eyed Hawaiian saw an unbelievable image that definitely captivated him. It was a huge brick-labeled building that had a gravel-plated rectangular sign that had said "Blainewood Academy" in the front. While that was nice to look at from above, he looked around and saw other brick-houses that was connected to the big building in the front, which nearly made it look a lot more like an actual college of sorts. This place looked nearly as big as the Mall of America itself, only that inside this educational establishment lied a food court, a gigantic garden with a stone fountain on the center, a sports gymnasium, an auditorium with a stage inside, a football field, and three big separate colored apartments for students to live in. Justin still couldn't believe to himself that he was gonna spend the rest of his school year inside a place like this. He obviously didn't know what to say himself.
"Whoa, that's unbelievable." Justin said in a breathless tone before saying out of uninterest, "Well, that was fun to look at from here. Okay, now we can go back to my school and…"
"Whoa whoa whoa, son. Don't you wanna look inside?" Erin said, stopping him in his tracks.
"I do admit it's impressive, but I kinda like the school I have." Justin sighed to his own mom, saying to her through reason, "I mean, there's not much noise, it's more relaxing, it's more… it's more like…"
"Sounds like your son's got goosebumps." Lady Deduda smirked to her sister.
Trying to ignore her sister's comments, Erin laid out a deep breath and sighed, saying to her son with an last ounce of reassurement, "Look, just ignore your aunt. Son, please give it a chance. Who knows? You may like being in this place. You just won't never know until you step inside."
He knew that her compassionate tone of voice was immediately forcing him to guilt-trip. No matter what kind of excuse Justin had, the Hawaiian knew that this was gonna be pointless reasoning with his own mom. With no else to go, Justin immediately decided to give in for once.
"Fine, I'll come inside." He said to Erin, who beamed with a smile.
"All right, now that's what I like to hear." Erin immediately patted him on the back, "All right, let's get the rest of the luggage out of your car and head inside. We don't want you to get stuck outside this heat for so long."
Both Justin, his mom and his aunt immediately managed to get the rest of his luggage out of the backseat of the trunk, which involved his clothes, toothbrush, cologne, $500, a PS4 with some games (since there was a higher chance that every dorm room involved a flat-screen TV of sorts), and a journal of his. After all, Justin wouldn't want to be alone if there weren't any thoughts of his to write on before he went to sleep. Once he shut the trunk of the Aston Martin itself, the three had decided to walk into the entranceway of the academy.
The inside of the academy had looked so extravagant and flawless as ever. There were banners of the official Blainewood Academy shield hung on top of the walls. There were various trophies hung from left to right regarding in size, such as trophies excelling in either academics or athletics. And there were even pictures of political figures hanging across from the wall like Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon and even Geddy Lee of Rush fame. Pictures like that often led Justin to believe if they actually either attended this school or perhaps wanted to get their picture inside academy walls just for some unexplainable reason. But either that, the huge gigantic hallway was a bit quiet, except for a few people that have been wandering around here trying to figure out which class they were going to, which was weird because this was pretty much Sunday and school didn't start until tomorrow.
With Justin's whole entire face practically wandering around the hallway, Erin finally decided to break the tension, speaking to Justin in excitement, "So, how does it feel now?"
"It looks pretty big on the inside, I'll tell you that." The Hawaiian explained, "But other than that, it looks just like any ordinary school I've been in, considering the fact that there's always banners and trophies like always. Okay, now that's settled, we can go back to the car and…"
However, Justin's voice was soon cut off when he turned around to find that both his mother and aunt immediately raced for the door and out to the car, leaving Justin alone with the rest of the luggage standing before him.
"OH, THAT'S JUST NICE!" Justin shouted to the two of them from far away, despite the fact that they were no longer seen now.
While he continued to sulk at himself right away, Justin felt a huge ring coming from his phone. He wasted no time picking up the text message, which to his dismay, just happened to be his aunt Lady Deduda. Justin immediately rolled his eyes and opened up the message right away, which said in big bold letters:
"BTW, just wanna wish you good luck in your new school! You're gonna need it!"
After seeing that message first hand, Justin let out another groan knowing how much of a nightmare he had now got himself into. That text coming from his aunt definitely rang true in his brain.
He was definitely gonna need luck.
Maybe need a lot more than luck, I assume.
Yes, I had to add some OC's into the story, mostly Justin's own mother and aunt. I'm not sure if I'll add more into the story, but we'll see in the chapters to come.
Well, I can tell this is gonna get very interesting. What will await Justin in his visit inside (the new, rebooted, and improved) Blainewood Academy? Either way, it'll get very interesting come next chapter, so be on the lookout everyone!
