The Impala Says
I may have started my life
as some saleman's dream,
shiny, black, chrome gleaming like a demon's smile,
but it was not long -
before I sought the evil and saved the righteous.
I have seen things that make men shudder,
carried angels,
trapped demons,
held those brothers lovingly in my arms,
and watched as they have loved others inside me.
My tires grip the road like the claws of the damned,
I pounce upon the highway -
pushing the asphalt away -
to our next journey.
