"That was very good. Next!" Finally, it was my turn to audtion. "Okay. Hi, I'm Ross Lynch, and I'm here to audition for the role of Austin Moon in Austin & Ally!" "Okay, let's see what you've got!"
"Flip a switch, turn on the lightning! Get it right, show 'em how it's done! Free it up, no matter how you dress that song! Girl, you know you got a number one! Go with it, you've got 'em where you want 'em! Drop the beat! They need to hear your sound! Play it up, it's coming down to you right now... they wanna know, know, know your name, name, name! They want the girl, girl, girl with game, game, game, and when they look, look, look your way, way, way, you're gonna make, make, make 'em do a double take! Make 'em do a double take!"
"Wow, that was amazing! Best one I've seen so far! We'll notify you if you got the part." "Okay!" I had so much fun doing my audition, but I wanted to see somebody else audition for a part here. I stood in front of the exit door as someone else walked in. This time, it was a girl.
"Well, hey. I'm Laura Marano, and I'm here to audition for the part of Ally Dawson in Austin & Ally." "Okay, let's see what you've got!" First, she made the best whistle I ever heard in my life. "Excuse me, did you not see the Please Do Not Play the Drums sign?" "It's okay, I'm an awesome drummer." "What you just said has absolutely nothing to do with what I just said. Wait... are those corn dogs?" "Yeah." "Eww! Do you have any idea how dirty those drums are, or how unhealthy corn dogs are? And there's no food allowed in here!"
My jaw dropped. She was absolutely flawless, and she had no trouble doing it at all. "Wow, you're the best Ally I've seen all day! We'll notify you if you get the part." "Thanks!" She was just about to head out the door when I stopped her. "Hey, what are you doing? I have a family to get to." "Laura, you have to get the part of Ally! You were perfect! You didn't seem very shy at all." "Well, I've had acting experience." "Well, you have to get this part! If I get the part of Austin, I'm sure it'll be wonderful!" She giggled. "Yeah, I'm sure."
Soon, it was my first day. Yes, I got the part, or I wouldn't be writing this! "Hi! I'm Raini Rodriguez! I got the role of Trish!" "Well, that's awesome! I'm Ross Lynch! I got the role of Austin!" "I'm back! Oh, hey! I'm Calum Worthy! I got the role of Dez!" "Great! Now all we need is Ally!" I thought back to the day of the audition. It had to be Laura! It had to be!
"Hey, everyone! I'm Laura Marano! I got the role of Ally!" YES! "Well, there's our Ally!" "Well, we should get ourselves freshened up and then start rehearsing." "Sounds like a plan to me!"
