" I told you to run," Edward said intensely, under his breath.
This memory from a year ago still haunted me. Edward's voice rang in my ears, and Jacob's smile was stuck in my head. I was just 15, and yet I was asked to leave my best friends behind. I haven't seen them since they fought for me, fought those strange creatures with the pale skin and the funny coloured eyes. Jacob disappeared, without a trace, and Edward and his family had disappeared pretty much off the face of the Earth. I'd tried to get my dad Charlie to find them, but he gave up. It was a lost cause.
I've got new friends now, but they just aren't the same. Jessica's a gossip, and if I stop listening and just add in a "yeah" every so often, she doesn't even notice. Mike's sweet, but he is so trying to hit on me, and is totally oblivious to Jessica's slutty tries at him, there's Angela too, she's nice, so quiet but observant, I know she's one of those people who wont judge me, I can come to her for anything, her boyfriend Eric is nice too.
The dragging summer holidays are over now, so off to school I go. My life has been a drone, but I've come to a decision, that I AM going to do something about it. I'm not gonna sit here and waste my life moaning, when I can DO something. I am going to find Jacob Black and Edward Cullen. Even if it's the last thing I'll do.
"Dad, I'm off to school," I called.
" Okay Hun, see-you later, I might be back from the office late, we've got a big lead to a crime," He called back.
I got into my red truck (God, I loved it) and sighed as it made its usual roar as I started the engine. I was early as usual when I arrived at school, so I stuck in my Ipod and waited till the bell went. I had to go to assembly first. I walked in fixing the zipper that had jammed on my coat.
" Isabella, would you please adjust the microphone on the stage??" I croaking voice called.
" Sure thing, Miss Crick"
I walked up to the microphone as the hall began to fill and adjusted it to the right height. I brought my head up after lifting my schoolbag and looked out. .God. Jacob and Edward were sitting in the front row. Then I heard my voice boom across the hall,

" Ok c'mon Jacob, for the 50th time – I am JUST your friend" - Bella
"Okay then, sure Bella.." – Jacob
" Hey Jacob I have an idea"
