I just got into Danganronpa two days ago and beat both games (I became pretty obsessive. =p)
This series of stories is just showing the interactions and possible interactions between characters. And yes, all the students are alive. No spoilers.

'Wha-What?!' I thought at the time. 'How am I supposed to respond to this?!'
But then she made that beautiful smile again, and I blushed harder than I did before.
"N…no, I don't…" I managed to stammer out, and she eyed me curiously as if I was lying. Then, she closed her eyes and beamed at me again. She came closer to me, and I leaned back, preparing for a verbal beatdown.
"-ou like someone?"
'WHY IS SHE ASKING ME THIS?!'
I started to sweat, and I felt the temperature rise a few degrees.
"…" I didn't answer. I couldn't answer. She doesn't need to know.
"For the Super Duper High School Level Luckster, you really aren't lucking out, are you Naegi-kun?" she teased. But then she giggled a little, kissed me on the cheek, and…
"Come see me later."
I didn't get much sleep.
