Oddly enough,
(Author's notes: I know I didn't use the names from the anime for the girls, but I found it easier to remember it by)
"So, where was I about bubbles and boomer in class today?" said buttercup with a laugh. "Apparently, boomer drags out a diamond ring that's the same colour as her eyes, and she says she could've gotten him something, he makes a poetic remark about her eyes, and they end up kissing on the floor! Ha!" bubbles was blushing crimson. "I-it's not like that! I-I-I never kissed him! I tripped! I don't love him, he's just a friend of mine!" she rebutted in her innocent, high-pitched voice. She had lied. She loved him with all her heart and more, and him getting her a diamond ring that was a sky blue like her eyes? Him saying that her eyes were the most beautiful rings ever and that she hadn't had to get him something? That her love was a gift? This was insanity if she ever knew it, but It was a good insanity. She switched on the TV and heard "no, 'saints in surgery garb." And then switched it. She knew that episode of M*A*S*H all too well. Made her cry and laugh at the same time. Well, boomer came over that night. He sat down with her and held her on his lap. It was really cute to Prof. Professor, and he let it happen, remembering his high school days. But then, suddenly, something struck him. Where had buttercup been? She was the only one who hadn't come home with someone yet…and then it happened.
