So, this is my first crack at publishing fanfiction. I'm rather excited by it all-hehe. Anyways, basically this one-shot is a letter written by Tifa to Cloud, and yes. Much, much angst. May be a bit OOC on Tifa's part, but hey-that's what reviews are for, right? Personally, I wouldn't have blamed her for finally cracking and destroying Cloud's soul completely. Mwuahaha... However, I do love him too, too much despite his complete lack of a brain when it comes to Tifa, but you know. So let me know what you think!
Post-FFVII, but somewhere within Advent Children. I would say after Tifa visits the church, but you would have to completely ignore the fact that Loz came along, and yeeeeis. *shrugs*
In the meantime, I own nothing but the angst in Tifa and the complete idiocy of Cloud (heh, I joke). However, If I did own FFVII he would have gotten his arse into gear a veeeery long time ago.
Cloud,
By the time you read this, it will be too late. Maybe that's a little unfair, but honestly, I am beyond caring. I thought things were going to change-I really, actually believed it. Even after all of the awful things we've both been through-I believed.
You're my oldest friend-my best friend-and yet...
You ran away.
I know you're sick, I know you're dying. I do know you want to do this on your own; whether or not you intend to fight or not. I've made my excuses for you, and up until this point continued to do so- for the sake of the kids, for the sake of my sanity.
But now, I think you should know that while you're still welcome if you decide to come home, you're no longer welcome in my heart.
Because I think you should know: I love you, Cloud.
And it hurts so much so, I can't even breathe.
You've finally broken me, and I'm sorry, I really am.
Because you didn't let them die.
But you have killed me.
-Tifa
