Dear Emma,
This is my weeding present for both of you. I really hope you like it.
This Saturday is the most difficult day I've had in my life, even more than that fateful day when I found out the truth about my baby girl. I want to fall asleep and never wake up again.
It kills me not being able to be next to my kids on the day of their most important competition and it kills me to think that you, of all people, is marrying someone other than me. I'm sorry I'm not there, but I simply wouldn't be able to stand it.
I know it's completely out of line to say these things the day you're getting married, but if I don't, I'll explode. I will really miss you, Em.
Love you,
Will.
Emma folded the letter and wiped her tears with her hand. She stood up and left the wedding reception.
Will was playing the piano on his new apartment, when he heard someone knocking. He stood up to open the door, and when he did, he saw a beautiful Emma with puffy eyes.
"Em…"
"I couldn't… marry him…"
Without saying a word, Will took Emma's head with both of his hands and gently gave her the sweetest kiss ever.
Emma started crying again, and Will gave her a big hug.
"It's ok, Em. We're together now. Everything will be just fine".
