Proposal

Kyo walked nervously back and forth. He kept touching his pocket to make sure it was still there. He glanced at the clock on the wall. It read 1:45 P.M. Tohru was to be home soon. Kyo sighed heavily and sat down in the first chair he saw. He had been dating Tohru for about four years. Tonight, he was going to tell her something important, something that could change his life.

Kyo glanced back at the clock. Only six minutes had passed since he had last looked at it. Time was moving so slowly to Kyo. He sighed again and didn't notice Yuki walk in.

"Oi, neko baka, why are you staring at the clock?"

"None of your business you damn rat." Kyo replied sharply.

"I like it is seeing as how that's my clock."

"That's not your clock. That's Shigure's clock. And I believe right now the clock is saying that you're a dumbass and should leave me alone. "

Yuki growled in the back of his throat. "No it doesn't. It says you're an idiot for not liking leeks."

"DON'T YOU DARE BRING THOSE NASTY LEEKS INTO THIS!"

"THEN DON'T CALL ME NAMES BAKA!"

"I'LL SHOW YOU WHO'S THE BAKA!"

Crashing sounds reignited through the house. Shigure sighed and put his pen down, hoping the boys didn't completely destroy his house.

Kyo and Yuki sent each other flying through the living room. The table smashed and the chairs went sailing across the room. The ceiling above them cracked in several places. The worst damage was down to Kyo, who already had a bloody nose. As Kyo was sent flying towards the door, Tohru opened it. She gasped as the orange haired man went sailing passed her. He landed with a dull thunk into a tree and fell to the ground. The box he had been checking for the past hour fell out of his pocket and onto the ground.

"Kyo!" Tohru called, running to her boyfriend. She helped sit him up and noticed the box. "What's this?"

"Wait…don't!" Kyo called. Too late, Tohru opened the box. Inside laid a gold band with a single diamond in the middle.

"Kyo…what is this?' Tohru asked quietly. Kyo's face went red.

"Well…uhhh…umm…" Kyo swallowed and stood in front of Tohru. He took the ring box and got down on one knee. "Tohru Honda, will you do me the honor of becoming my bride?"

Tohru glanced down at the ring and tears began slipping out of her eyes. She set herself on her knees and grasped Kyo.

*POOF*

Kyo looked up at Torhu's face as the ring box hit the ground.

"Oh Kyo. I would love to be your wife."

Kyo smiled to himself and snuggled closer to Tohru. At last, he would have a complete life.

Note: this story goes along with Feelings, the other Fruits Basket fan fiction I wrote. I promised to right a fiction about Kyo's marriage proposal, but that was about two years ago. So for those that were waiting, I'm sorry.
