"Ladybug!"

It was a beautiful, sunny, day in the park when Alya suddenly shot up from her lounging position on the bench and cried out Marinette's superhero alias. Seeing as Marinette was sitting right beside Alya as they enjoyed both the sunshine and the beautiful view of Adrien modelling his father's newest summer line only a few feet in front of them (oh how the sight sent so many fluttery butterfly feelings in Marinette's stomach and made her want to swoon. She was going to have good dreams for weeks to come…), there was no way Ladybug could be swinging past for Alya to spot.

Marinette felt she was in the right to panic a little at that.

"What?!" she squeaked. "No I'm not – I mean," she coughed awkwardly when Alya raised an eyebrow at her. "Where is she? I don't see her. Are you sure it was Ladybug?" she said rapidly to throw Alya off. Alya's eyebrow just went a little bit higher which made Marinette feel all the more nervous. Her heart raced as her cheeks burned with embarrassment and shame. "Erm," she mumbled, "what?"

"Oh sweetie," Alya sighed with exasperation, "I didn't mean the superhero, I meant you've got one on your shoulder." And it was then when Marinette realised there was a small, bright red, black dotted, little insect crawling down her shoulder and across her collarbone. "Stay very still!" Alya whispered excitedly. "And slowly scoop it up with your finger."

Marinette blinked bewilderedly. "Why?" she whispered back, confused.

"Don't you ever read me blog?!"

"Erm…."

"No," Alya held up a hand to silence Marinette, "don't answer that. Just do what I say." Marinette smiled sheepishly to which Alya responded with a fond headshake (Marinette was so lucky that her best friend was so forgiving and loving). Marinette carefully and slowly, as instructed, scoop the ladybug off of her shirt and onto her finger. She giggled slightly as the insect's little, crawly, legs ticked her skin. "Okay," Alya smiled, "now let it go and it should fly to your true love."

"Really?!"

"Seriously," Alya snapped exasperated, "read my blog. I got all the research on there. Now let the bug go!"

Gently, Marinette blew against the ladybug and sent it flying off her finger. The pretty little insect fluttered awkwardly at first but then immediately set course across the park. Marinette watched with wide eyes as the ladybug flew past all the technicians and make-up artists, past the photographer, and landed on Adrien's shoulder. The redness of its skin stood out like a jewel on his white shirt.

"Oh…." She gasped, delighted, terrified, and shocked all at the same time, "My…..God!"

"Yes!" Alya pounded a fist in the air. "You go girl! I get dibs on maid of honour."

Meanwhile Adrien had been bored to death during his shoot when he suddenly felt something brush against his shoulder. He smiled softly down at the little creature that reminded him so much of his Lady though it took a mischievous tint when the photographer started to freak out and everything was put on hold. He slouched into a more relaxing stance as took in the view of the park when he caught sight of Alya squealing over something and hugging a very pink and flustered looking Marinette. As soon as he caught Marinette's eye he grinned at her and gave her a little wave…

….he immediately dropped his arm and widened his eyes in worry and alarm when Marinette suddenly passed out into Alya's arms.
