Sanji's POV
I dove into the water, hands first, slicing into the water. It makes it easier for my body to follow into it. Unfortunately for me this was not just a day at the beach, it during a storm that was powerful enough to move the Thousand Sunny around like a bath toy.
I was in search of a certain devil fruit using baka that had fallen overboard after a particularly strong wave hit the ship. I continued the search as I came up. As soon as I got some oxygen in my lungs I dove again. I turned in slow circles as I descended looking for the bright flash of red that would show me the way to my captain.
When I once again came up for oxygen I found the Sunny even farther away 'But', I reminded myself, 'I don't have time for this' I dove again. This time I went deeper and deeper until I saw it, Luffy's hat I grabbed it and went even deeper. Turning once more I saw him. Quickly I swam over and grabbed him. As I began to swim up my lungs and eyes began to burn like they were on fire. I looked at my unconscious companion, he looked awful with pale skin, his mouth open slightly, and bluish lips. The sooner I got him to the surface the better, but I was having a hard time getting rid of the black spots dancing in my vision. With one last powerful stoke I broke the surface.
The first thing I did was take a breath of half air and half water but it was better than no air. I proceeded to position Luffy's head so he could breathe while I swim. I start to turn looking for the Sunny and I came face to face with a giant wave. I couldn't swim fast enough to get out of the way. Luffy and I are dragged under. I once again struggle to get to the surface when I do I realized that I was moved farther away from the Sunny. Turning I fail to see it though the rain, but I did see a bit of foliage. I swam towards it.
When I finally got to the island I saw only a beach line then some trees. I began to wade towards it. I dragged Luffy's limp body, with my arm over his shoulder, to the tree line before collapsing. I sat up and flipped the straw hat wearing boy onto his back. I pressed on his chest hard and water came out of his mouth (AN: I figured that since he is made of rubber pressing on his chest hard enough would cause the water to be dispelled). When I was finally done getting the water out of his lungs I allowed myself to lay on my side and give into the exhaustion that I had been ignoring.
Third POV
Luffy sat up and said "Thanks" but got no reply. He looked over at his cook who was passed out on the sand "Sanji".
