Our feet kicked as the water splashed all around. We were sitting on a pier on the beach in Maine. Me, my name's Aly and my best friend Miranda. We are both 14. Ever since my parents died in a boat accident I lived with her and her parents and her two brothers Zack and Jake. I have no regrets from my parents drownding and i am not afraid of the ocean. It is just as free-spirited as the wind. We were laughing and playing when we heard something. It was a voice, but not just a voice. It sounded like an angel. It came from the water, singing:
If you hear come my dear
To a world where there's no fear
Come to Me, and we'll be
In a world by the sea.
The melody continued and i was hypnotized by the beautiful voice. I leaned in looking in the water, when I felt something. The creature grabbed my leg and pulled me in. I was treading and treading. All I heard was Miranda screaming, and she didn't jump in because she can't swim. The creature did not let go. She dragged me deeper and deeper. When all the sudden the water around me glowed. My legs were shining like stars. I felt my legs becoming one. I screamed and flailed. The last thing that happened was I felt a hard bump on my head, then blackout.
