Why did Risen love to surround camp so early in the morning?

"We don't have much time," Chrom said looking behind his shoulder, "the Risen are fast approaching and we need everyone out to help push them back."

Someone groaned. Another yawned. "Just five more minutes, hmm?"

"We don't have another five minutes," Robin urged, "let's move!"

Only the early birds followed the two men eagerly, others trudged behind while rubbing their eyes. Sumia, however, had just managed to get out of her tent with all of her armor and accessories piled together like a mountain in her hands.

It wasn't surprising that she ended up tripping over nothing. She and all of her gear collided on the ground with a hard thump. She sat up after calling herself a klutz and rubbed her head.

"Are you alright?" A yellow dress caught her attention. She looked up to see a familiar face.

"Lissa? Could you help me?"

With a nod, the blonde helped gather her supplies back and handed her the armor she had to put on.

After falling like that she knew her hair had to be a mess. And Chrom would definitely notice.

"Uhm," she battered her eye lashes, "Could you use that brush to fix my hair."

"Sumia..." Lissa narrowed her eyes at her friend. Her priorities sure were strange. Her stare was challenged by a set of wide eyes similar to a wounded puppy's. Ugh. She turned for a moment and noticed that her brother and the others had already started attacking the enemy, but they weren't exactly in harm's way yet. She sighed, defeated. "Fine, okay." She took the brush and straightened out any frazzled locks while Sumia began to slide on her gloves. She couldn't believe she actually went along with this.

"Ah!" An arrow went past Lissa's sight. It looked like it could've grazed her cheek! She turned around, hands still fumbling with brown curls and saw archers and bow knights sending out rapid fire. "Sumia, we have to go!"

"We're fine, we're fine." The older girl coaxed and held up her breastplate, "I hope this doesn't mess up my hair when I put it on."

"Sumia!" Lissa dropped the brush and grabbed her hand, pulling as hard as she could to force the girl to stand and start running.

"Wait, Lissa! I left my shoes back there!" Sumia cringed with every step in the dirt.

"No time!" She lead her to the Shepard's ranch where a lone pegasus remained. Lissa let go of her hand to grab one of the lances resting against the fence and handed it to her.

"Thank you," Sumia wanted to say it twice. Once for helping her, and again for making her realize that she wasn't taking this seriously. The brunette hopped on the back of the winged horse and held her hand out. Lissa cocked her head. "Come on, I could use your support." She smiled when the blonde took her hand and sat behind her and held on tight to her waist.

What mattered was the fight at hand. The pegasus took a running start before leaping into the air. Sumia stared down below at the undead army. Plus, if any of those Risen got mud on her boots, there'd be hell to pay.
