World Cup
Alex Russo has signed up for the Wizarding Duel World Cup. She is the family-wizard so she can do that. It's a rule that only full wizards can compete in the world cup because those duels can sometimes be very dangerous and you also have to be at least 21, but Alex actaully turned 25 a few weeks ago so she is old enough.
"Hi, Alex." says Justin when he sees Alex at the world cup arena.
"Justin, are you gonna compete too?" says Alex.
"No, as the Headmaster of WizTech, I'm one of the judges." says Justin.
"And just like that my chance of goin' to the final rounds drop to fuckin' zero." says Alex.
"Simply do your best and maybe you'll win the championship title, though be ready. There are many powerful wizards here." says Justin.
Alex goes to the check-in office.
"Name and number, please." says the girl behind the counter.
"Alexandra Margarita Russo, 427 Alpha Gamma." says Alex.
"Okay. Let me see...you're the fifth duel and your opponent will be Jenny Starbell from Texas."
"Should be really easy. I'm ready for the little bimbo." says Alex.
"I don't think it will be that easy. Jenny was the runner up at last year's Texas regional tournament."
"Me is not scared. I'm awesome." says Alex with a happy smile.
"Your wand, Miss Russo. I need to make sure that it meets the standard for the World Cup."
"Sure." says Alex as she pull out the Russo family-wand from her walking stick and hands it to the girl.
"Hmmm, no curse on it, no signs of any dark enchantments, no death magic or evil power. It's a family-wand, of type A. Equipped with spell-regulator. Okay...things are good."
Alex gets her wand back.
20 minutes later, the tourmanment is about to begin.
"Welcome to this year's Wizarding Duel World Cup here from San Fransisco, USA. Let me introduce our honorable judges for the day. Inspector Alan DeMarco from the WBI, Mrs Sarah McDonald the jinx-expert and Mr Justin Russo, the Headmaster of Wiz-Tech's academy of spellcasting and magic."
The judges walk out and take their seats ring-side where they can see the duels clearly.
"I'm Sir Billy Porter of the International Magic Duel Administration. Now...let the duels begin!"
4 hours later it's time for Alex.
"Okay. This is gonna be fun." says Alex, all confident as she usually is, when she walk out onto the duel-field.
"On the North Side we have Alexandra Russo for the first time in the World Cup."
Jenny Starbell walk out onto the duel-field.
"And on the South Side...Jenny Starbell, a fan favorite known for her powerful attack-spells that can knock out an opponent in a few simple turns."
"Are ya scared, Russo?" says Jenny with a teasing smirk.
"No way!" says Alex in a hard strong tone.
"Remember, no dark magic, no killing-spells. Let the honor lead you. 3 2 1, magic!" says Inspector DeMarco.
"Aericus Titania!" says Alex out loud as she swing her wand,
A huge storm attacks Jenny.
Jenny is knocked back hard.
"Mega Electrium!" says Jenny as she swing her wand.
A big powerful thunderbolt strike Alex who take some damage from it.
"That's a 2 vs 0 Jenny's lead." says Justin.
"Pyro Multipla-Armantis." says Alex as she swing her wand and attack Jenny with a rain of strong fire-balls.
"Iverta Decoritum." says Jenny, but Alex' fire-spell is too powerful and Jenny's defense-charm has no effect.
"2 vs 2." says Justin.
"Ruberia Vargante Dominum." says Alex and fire a powerful red beam of magic towards Jenny.
"Iverta Maximus." says Jenny.
Jenny's defense is not strong enough and she is hit by Alex' attack.
Jenny take a lot of damage.
"5 vs 2 Alex' lead." says Justin.
"Necatum Deverinata!" says Jenny as she swing her wand.
A blazing energy-pulse strike Alex in the tummy and she is knocked down.
"Jercatios Ultima!" says Alex as she get back up and swing her wand.
A golden blaze of magical energy strike Jenny hard, sending her flying into the arena wall.
"17 vs 2 Alex' lead...and Jenny can't keep going. Winner of the duel is Alex who move on to the quarter-finals." says Justin.
"Oh yeah." says Alex with a bright smile.
45 minutes later it's time for the second duel of the quarter-finals.
"Now, let's begin duel no. 2 of the quarter-finals. Alex Russo against Molly Turner."
"3 2 1...magic!" says Inspector DeMarco.
"Emerantio Vargante Dominum." says Alex and fire a powerful green beam of magic towards Molly.
"Ivertus Platico!" says Molly, but it's too late.
Alex' attack knocks out Molly.
"Okay...the duel's already over. Alex is the winner." says Justin. "She move on to the semi-finals with a score of 22 points."
"Yay!" says a happy Alex.
The next day it's time for semi-finals.
"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Welcome to the main semi-finals of the Wizarding Duel World Cup. The first duel is between Alexandra Russo and Kate Blue.
"3 2 1...magic!" says Inspector DeMarco.
"Pyro Multipla-Armantis." says Alex as she swing her wand and attack Kate with a rain of strong fire-balls.
"Ivertes Giganto." says Kate and a white field of magic block Alex' fire-attack.
"1 vs 0 Kate's lead." says Justin.
"Sivorantes Mortizia!" says Alex in a hard badass tone.
"Celaforium Mordrentia!" says Kate.
Alex golden attack and Kate's silver attack hit each other in the air.
"2 vs 1 Kate's lead." says Justin.
"Ultima Irioles." says Alex as she swing her wand.
A large bolt of magical energy strike Kate in the face, sending her flying towards the arena wall.
"4 vs 2 Alex' lead." says Justin.
Kate's taken a lot of damage, but she slowly get up again, clearly not ready to be defeated yet.
"Raptorium Cavanensis!" says Kate as she swing her wand.
A large beam of magic fly towards Alex.
"Ivertum Boundeeres." says Alex and a pink energy-wall block Kate's attack.
"6 vs 2 Alex' lead." says Justin.
"Klavensis Iganero!" says a very angry Kate.
Glowing swords fly towards Alex.
"Armantes Evanesco." says Justin as he swing his wand.
The swords disappear.
"What the heck?" says Kate.
"Forbidden spell. Victory goes to Alex." says Justin.
"I'm awesome." says Alex.
Alex is happy that she's made it this far.
When all the semi-final duels are over, it turns out that the 2 wizards left to fight for the master-title are Alex and a 29 year old male wizard known as Marc Venetzia.
"3 2 1...magic!" says Inspector DeMarco.
"Armantia Irioles." says Alex as she swing her wand.
A bolt of magical energy strike Marc in the face, doing some damage.
"1 vs 0 Alex' lead." says Justin.
"Zeregalum Avenensis." says Marc as he swing her wand.
A pulse of silver magic fly towards Alex.
"Defirum Veragino!" says Alex and a field of blue magic blocks Marc's attack.
"2 vs 0 Alex' lead." says Justin.
"Taloricum Beganonses." says Marc as he swing his wand.
A beam of fire fly towards Alex.
"Defirum Veragino!" says Alex and a field of blue magic blocks Marc's attack again.
"4 vs 0 Alex' lead." says Justin.
"Malachu Revenensa." says Alex as she swing her wand.
A powerful bolt of red magical energy knocks out Marc.
"Mr Venetzia is unable to fight more...the victory goes to Miss Russo." says Sarah McDonald.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new international duel-champion...Alexandra Russo from New York City."
