Denial And Doubt

"So, you're in love with Tsuna."

It was a statement, not a question.

Hibari scowled at the infant.

"No."

Reborn's eyes flickered pointedly to the hand weaving through Tsuna's spiky locks. Hibari followed his gaze to said limb, lips pressed in a hard line.

"It is merely a temporary obsession. That's all. It will pass soon." The skylark replied to the silent accusation. But Reborn wasn't blind, behind those stubborn grayish blue eyes was a twinge of doubt. And longing.

Reborn sighed, "You're in denial, Hibari."

Eyes flashed with anger, Tsuna's Cloud Guardian glared at him, mouth set in a silent snarl. "I am not, nor will I ever will be, in denial." He said dangerously in a quiet tone, as if daring Reborn to refute his words. Refusing to look at the knowing gleam in the Sun Arcobaleno's eyes, he turned to stare at Tsuna, eyes softening a tiny fraction. Even in his sleep, Tsunayoshi was adorable. He shifted his position, sitting closer to his Sky and pressed a feather light kiss on his kouhai's forehead. Then he stood, and made his way towards the window. After a grudging nod at the infant, he slipped out to the streets of Namimori quietly, making sure not to disturb Tsunayoshi's peaceful slumber.

Reborn watched as the shadow on the streets disappeared and jumped down to his student's bed, smacking him awake. Tsuna stirred and cracked an eye open. He stared blearily at Reborn and blinked sleepily, wondering what his tutor wants. He sat up when he saw the serious expression Reborn wore and immediately understood.

"Ah, Hibari-san sneaked into my room again, didn't he?" Tsuna asked, his words slightly slurred from sleep. At Reborn's nod, he sighed and raked a hand through his hair. He felt troubled, strangely not at the fact Hibari-san was breaking and entering into his room yet again, but at the odd turmoil of emotions he felt inside whenever he thought of his Cloud Guardian. He frowned. It felt somewhat akin to what he felt for Kyoko-chan but this was more intense, more real. He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. Surely not... He likes Kyoko-chan, dammit!

Reborn looked at his student in amusement. Here's another one for denial. As Tsuna drifted back off to sleep muttering about thinking about this tomorrow, Reborn thought on Hibari and Tsuna's daily interactions with each other and how awkward they were. He smirked when he heard Tsuna murmuring Hibari's name in his sleep. Oh, let them deny their feelings.

That sexual tension between them would solve all their problems soon.

Very soon.

As he himself drifted off to sleep, he idly wondered who would snapped first. Dino had betted on Tsuna.

He would lose that bet, Reborn would make sure of it.

REVIEW PLEASE! I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT! ^_^
