Hello. Just popped into my head and would not leave me until it was written. This is one-shot of the Boys and a snap shot of their lives. There is not enough stories with the Boys. Crazy as they are and we love them for it. Thank you for reading this drabble.
Disclaimer: I own nothing and am only burrowing them for a little while.
The Walk
The Wastelands dubbed by the inhabitants for the surrounding desert that clung tightly to the Citadel's mountainous rocky outcrop. The sand going as far as the eye could see and further more when you did not have a looking glass to help you. Green could be seen from the top of the mountain and rampant rumours about free flowing water from above sprinkling around the cursed Wastelands. The inhabitants working tirelessly during the light hours of the day, making the Citadel look like an ant hill that was disturbed. Upon closer inspection, you could discern which inhabitant belonged to which class caste. It seems that they had fallen to the ways of long ago and it seemed to work for a time. Immortan Joe had amassed himself power and reverence. He treated himself like he was god incarnate and saviour for bringing the water to the people. And in a way, he was to some of the War Boys that were combed from the Wretched to serve in his army of kamikrazy soldiers. This was their home and they would defend it to their very last breath, preferable in the most explosive way as they could find possible. Not everyone got to lay their life down on Fury Road. Some of the Boys did make it back with their tails between their legs, expecting a good ribbing from the other Boys that were left behind, all because they were not able to keep hold on their car. Most often had sand burns after their spectacular dive into the fast moving sand and landing at odd angles which lead to broken bones that would need to be reset. Squabbles would break out if the ribbing gotten out of hand and they just as quickly got over them. It was harsh life but they could breathe a sigh of relief because they got another day of it. That was part and parcel of a half-life War Boy.
So until next time, have a good one! ;D
