Summary: Just a pointless fic about halloween.
Slayers hated Halloween. At least that's what Giles said. Buffy had never understand why. What was wrong with Halloween? It was the only time of year when you could knock on a stranger's door and demand candy. In her opinion (not that it counted) Halloween was better than Christmas.
Of course that was then. Now she hated Halloween. Okay, she didn't hate it. She despised it. There were too many fifteen year olds dressed up as vampires and other things that go bump in the dark. IT was making her slayer senses go into over drive.
First she was in the Cemetery and almost ended up staking a four foot tall devil with pigtails holding an orange pumpkin. Then when she finally found a fledgling to get rid of, she lost him in the crowd of over dressed teenagers going to the bronze. It was so much easier to do her job without a good portion of Sunnydale's population walking in the streets.
Then when she finally went home she sat down, only to stand up again at the sound of the door bell. Reaching for the oval shaped bowl she headed towards the door. Opening it, she found her faced to faced with a cowboy, Dorothy complete with Toto, a crayon, a power ranger, three harry potters, and in the back a tall vampire holding a square box. When all the children left, Buffy watched the vampire. It could either be one of two things: a vampire waiting for her to foolishly invite him in, or the pizza boy in a costume. She really hoped it was the latter.
She regarded the vampire carefully. He had brown curls and sharp cheekbones. And his eyes....they looked so familiar.
"Well then luv, you gonna invite me in?"
"Spike"
"The one and only"
"You're hair..."
"Didn't bleach it"
"Oh, come on in then"
"Got you and the bit something"
"Let me guess, a pizza"
"Something like it"
Yep. Halloween was fucking Christmas in October.
Liked it? Hated it?
