All that could be heard in the hallway was the muffled sobs, and the sound of Nathaniel's footsteps, as he headed towards the bold wooden door labeled 'Frankie's room'. He breathed deep before putting his hand on the wall next to the door, tapping gently on the door "Frankie... I know your in there please open up." His voice remaining calm as he pressed his head against the door trying to hear a slight shuffle or anything. The muffled sobbing continued. "Frankie I'm coming in..." He put his hand on the door handle, pushing and rattling for a few moments. "okay, please move whatever is infront of the door..." His voice was beginning to come more desperate, but no movement was heard on the other side of the door. He sat down outside the room with his back against the wall. "look, whatever is wrong you can tell me, it's okay, and I'm sorry what you saw the other day, it's a massive misunderstanding, I was simply just saying goodbye.. please open up." He sighed and looked at the cold wooden floor benieth him. He remained silent, listening to her muffled sobs, until there was a sudden silence. "It's too late...there's nothing you can do... thank you...for everything...I really.. loved you..." A weak gentle voice came from the other side of the door. Nath jumped up and knocked on the door "Frankie, come on out, you don't have to thank me, I'm going to be here for a long time. I'm not going anywhere.. please open the door." Everything was quiet again. After a few moments Nath started knocking again "Hey, Frankie, open up...frankie please...FRANKIE LISTEN TO ME." There was still no answer, not even a muffled sob, nothing, just complete silence. "Frankie?..." He started to frantically knock on the door. "Come on open up..FRANKIE!" A slight click was heard infront of him as the door cracked open slightly. "Frankie..." He stepped into the room, the curtains slightly parted, letting a small ray of light fall upon the small brunette figure lay against the wall on the opposite side of the room, lighting up her pale cheeks. Her perfect ringlets were still perfectly fallen over her motionless form. Nath fell to his knees next to her and pulled her into his arms "Fr..Frankie..." He mumbled as he stroked her hair. She was limp, her pale blue dress stroking her figure gently. "Frankie?" He brushed her hair out of her face, her saphire blue eyes opened slightly as a small smile appeared on her whitening lips. "You came.." She whipered as her eyes started to close again. She took a deep breath in as she stroked his pinkening cheeks. Their eyes met for seconds, as their tears combined on her face. She exhaled with a final smile as her eyes closed and she went limp. Only now, had Nath realised a small spot of blood on the floor. "Frankie?" He rocked her slightly "Hey.. Frankie.." He shook her desperately, but she remained silent, lifeless but still beautiful. He looked down at her small figure, spotting a small puncture mark in her side. "why?" He whispered as he looked around the room, there was a knife that had been thrown into the wall on the other side of the room. He looked back at Frankie "I'm sorry... please come back..." His heart sunk as he held her close to him, letting out sorrowful sobs. When her parents came home, he was still sat there with her in his arms, his eyes empty, and his face emotionless as he remained where he was. No one could take her from him, not now, not ever.
