This is a poem about how a friend felt when it was abandon by its creator

Why?

Why did you leave me?

Did I do something wrong?

If I did I'm sorry.

Why won't you look me in the eye?

When you say you care.

You take me by the hand and lead me somewhere.

Where are we going?

What did I do wrong?

Did I forget something important or something like that?

You left me on the corner of seventh and main.

I ask when you'll be back.

But you don't reply.

As the night draws near

It dawns to me you'll never be back.

So I started walking.

I can't remember where.

That's when I saw her.

Standing in the rain.

She asked me where I was going.

I said I didn't know.

That's when she asked if I still had a home.

I looked away out of fear maybe sham.

She asked me my name.

And took me by the hand.

She led me to a new home.

As we walked and we talked in the rain.
