Oh my god, I haven't written in such a long time. I'm sooo sorry. I've been so busy with school and classes and sooooooo much work, that I didn't have time to go on fanfiction.

But...

Look on the bright side! I'm back! :) And it's summer!

Kalina, we'll come back. I promise. We promise. So don't cry, okay?

That very promise rang in my head, like it did every morning. My older siblings had left our home four years ago, and they never came back.

Did they break their promise?

Not that I didn't believe in them. I would believe in them forever and always. But, there was constantly a prick of doubt I had, despite my attempts to erase it.

At least I wasn't alone.

My parents are dead. My older siblings went away. But I still had Lilla with me. Sweet, sweet Lilla, my adorable eight-year-old little sister, just three years younger then me. She smiled up at me, her small arms wrapped around her Skitty, Keki.

"Kalina, did Isla and Dane come back yet?" Lilla asked.

Her daily question. She too loved our siblings, but everyday, my answer was always the same.

"No."

Lilla's face fell. Keki mewled with disappointment, due to the fact that Isla had been her former trainer.

I hugged my little sister gently. "Go play with Keki. It'll take your mind off things."

"Okay! Keki, come on!" Lilla ran outside to the fields, Keki at her heels.

From the windows, I watched Lilla dance around the meadow, squealing as Keki hopped around. Her mood changed quick, that's for sure.

I sighed and wriggled in the chair I was sitting on. Oh, how I missed Isla and Dane. Where were those two? I didn't even know what they were going to do when they left Lilla and I.

"Kalina!" Lilla called. "Look! The flowers are growing!"

I got out of my chair, stepped outside, and peered at the grass. Lilla was right. I could see tiny little flowers poking their heads out in the grass.

"Isn't it so much prettier now?" Lilla asked. "There weren't any flowers during the winter, and the fields didn't look so good, but now it's spring, and flowers are blooming! It's wonderful! Maybe you should let Saku out."

Saku was my playful little Oddish, who loved, loved, flowers. I smiled and said, "Maybe I should." I reached for one of my PokeBalls and threw it at the grass.

"Oddish!" Saku popped out of the PokeBall, and she squeaked happily as soon as she saw the little flowers sticking out.

Lilla kneeled down on the grass. "Saku, aren't the flowers beautiful?" she sighed.

"Dish!"

"That's a yes, right? Right? Right? Kalina, am I right?"

"Lilla, I don't speak Pokemon."

Lilla giggled. She cuddled Keki in her arms and beamed at me. "I think it's a yes!"

"Okay."

I sat down on the grass, and sighed. How could Lilla be so cheerful? I tried to be happy, to be genuinely happy, but I could never do it. All I had were fake smiles.

Life sucked.

"Oddish?" Saku waddled over, and looked up at me, a small arum lily in between her teeth (do Oddishes have teeth?).

I took it and managed a faint smile. "Thanks, Saku."

As soon I held the arum lily in my hand, memories flashed in my head.

Kalina, look! It's an arum lily! Arum lilies are my favorite kind of flower. What's yours?

Um...I like cherry blossoms, Dane!

Oh, those are also very beautiful.

Yeah!

Dane had loved plants.

I couldn't stand it anymore. I missed Isla and Dane too much. I wanted them to be back home so, so badly. Right at that moment, I made a decision.

I'm going to go search for them!

What a short chapter... -_-

I fail. xD
