"Baseball freak" Gokudera spat, silver strands curtaining his eyes. I always liked those eyes the most.

"Don't be that way!" I laugh it off resting a hand on his head. He fumes yet doesn't shake it off, so I play with a lock between my fingers.

"You should really drink more milk, It does wonders for your skin." Not that anything was wrong with his paleness, I just felt like teasing him a bit.

"Che, is that all you care about?" He growls bringing out a pack of cigarettes. I've always been concerned about that habit. It was normal to worry about a friend's health right? Gokudera takes a long drag, the smoke swirling into a cloud transcending through the air in a sort of wispy dance. He was so alike to the dirty papers he put into his mouth. Lonely, hanging from the side of his lip, it sways with his growing frown. The somber ember flaring with each breath. It was meant to be a portrayal of power like the anti hero in popular movies, but I can see through that. I see how each cigarette withered away into ash. I was a little certain that even the boisterous Gokudera was fragile like the burning roll placed between his teeth.

"What are you staring at?" He grumbles, those perfect orbs flickering with irritation.

"You." I say, leaning in before he can move, plucking the little metaphor from his mouth. I press my lips gently to his, feeling the smoke waft off of me in his gasp of shock. On a whim I slip my tongue in an attempt to be closer to him. To sooth off our loneliness. He recuperates to my surprise and it gets incredibly warm as we fight for dominance, teeth clashing with the motion. It burns as I taste the stench of tobacco and indignation. Its a contrast to my impulsive enthusiasm that presses closer to him. I gasp leaning even further, his hand winding around my waste. I can hear my pulse race a mismatched pace in my ear. My head goes numb and the excitement begins to hurt as I gasp for air, rejoining our lips in a single moment. I can feel his moan reverberate in our mouths, but the sound stops him.

"A-Ack!" I spit breaking off, feeling the taint of blood on my tongue. H-he bit me!

"What the hell do you think you're doing!" Gokudera shouts, almost flailing his arms in frustration. I choke off a laugh to mask my annoyance. Hadn't he kissed back? I see the thin blush on his cheeks and feel an honest chuckle brimming from my throat.

"It was a joke! A joke!" I insist, waving my hands defensively at him.

"You bastard!" He rubs his mouth vigorously with a sleeve making me snicker. Its all a show, I can see it in his eyes and the frantic twitch of his lip even his reaction when I drop the cigarette on the ground and grind it with my foot.

"Smoking is bad for you." I hum lightly, taking a step forward. "Tsuna is waiting for us too."

"I-I already know that!" He paces after me, the sun setting in the distance. It casts a dim cardinal light, that even manages to reflect off of Hyato's ivory-like skin. I don't want to be cliché or anything but... I found it... Kinda beautiful.
