Another One Bites The Dust

Nepeta sat in her tree, muscles ready to pounce. She lashed her tail back and forth, but not too ferociously or she would scare her prey. She slowly scanned the area for any other possible predators, wanting to stay safe. A purr rising in the back of her throat when she realized the coast was clear, the huntress raises her haunches, cat eyes fixed on her target.

With a yowl, Nepeta pushed herself with all of her force at the deer, clawkind unsheathed. She landed on its back without a sound, sinking the sharp blades into its shoulders. The deer cried out and fell to the ground, Nepeta rolling to a halt beside it.
"Thank you for dying for my sake." She whispered. With that, she ended the poor creature's misery with a swift cut to the neck.

Once the deer was dead, Nepeta stood, brushing the hair out of her eyes.
"Another one bites the dust." She murmured triumphantly. With a practiced maneuver, she swung the carcass onto her shoulders, making her way back to her cave.
"I wonder what pretty pictures I'll paint with you?" Nepeta meowled to the dead animal. "I could invite Equius over and we could share your meat! Oh, and Kanaya was saying how she needed deer skin for a dress. You would like that, wouldn't you? Being made into something very pretty? Ooh, I can add the new cannon redrom ships! I had almost run out if red paint, and rabbit I killed only had black blood. Thank Gog for you! This is so fun!"
