Scorose

Rose was walking down the corridor, talking to Hugo, promising him that Hogwarts was not a scary place and everything Uncle George had said had been a lie. Hugo had been at Hogwarts a few months, but Rose still needed to reassure him that it was a safe place.

"Oi! Gingernut, is that your brother?" Rose blushed when she heard that voice, but had to keep up the act.

"What's it to you, Malfoy?" she spat as Scoripus ran up beside them.

"Oh, nothing, just wondering how many of you there are, and how many I need to avoid," he said with a smirk, but his hand found its way to her back, patting it lightly. Rose closed her eyes. She couldn't let Hugo know.

"Yeah, funny, Malfoy. Can't you see my sides splitting? There may be many of us, but at least none of us were Death Eaters." she bit back, turning away so she didn't see his hurt face. "Hugo, run along to the common room. I left my book in the library. I'll see you shortly." Rose patted his head and Hugo walked off. When he turned around the corner, Rose turned to Scorpius and grabbed his hand.

She dragged him down the deserted corridor until she came to an empty broom cupboard. She pulled him inside and locked the door before kissing him passionately.

"I'm sorry, that was uncalled for..." she said breathlessly when she pulled back, but he only smirked.

"Well Rosie, you hurt me. You'll have to make it up to me, and that wasn't enough," but Rose only laughed and kissed him again, opening her mouth against his and moaning softly.

"Better?" she teased and he smiled, stroking her hair.

"Definitely." he replied happily, pulling her to the floor to sit on his lap. "Will you ever tell him?"

Rose sighed and twirled her thumbs in her lap. "Yeah, eventually, after you propose!" she joked, but he only laughed uncomfortably. "Kidding." she said after, kissing him softly again. "I will tell them, all of them, but together. I'll tell mum first, then dad. She'll back me up. It will be difficult to tell Uncle Harry though.." Rose said sadly, but Scorpius squeezed her lightly.

"D'you want me to help?"

"No, that would only make it worse. I promise, when we leave tomorrow, I'll tell mum and owl you how it went, okay?" he nodded and she smiled. "Good, now let's not waste the moment," she whispered before kissing him again, utterly happy.
